December 10, 2009 3 Night Bahamian Cruise

Hello fellow cruisemates!! We too are on the bounce back offer. We cruised 1/31-2/7/2009 this was our 6 cruise on the Magic...so this 3 day will be our first Wonder cruise. Very excited to see the ship and island decorated for Christmas. We are going down before the cruise.....I just love visiting all the hotels decorated for the holidays. This will be our 3rd time going down in December we just love this time of year. The weather is perfect!! Hope to meet all of you on board. Laurie

It was cool, nothing was open, and we meet other disers who did a back-2-back as well and three other set of families so good times. Better then a empty ship was getting to know the cruise staff, because I didn't really tell them I was doing a back-2-back so they were like your back and were all like excited. Love how you become like old friends and family with the cruise staff. I mean even people who cleaned the ship remembered me when they saw me

Laurie, my DD10 would love your screen name. She is a penguin freak. It will be my family's first time on the Wonder, too, although I've been once without them. My best friend and I snuck away without our kids and husband for a four day and had a great time. I had a good time comparing and contrasting the ships. I didn't know how any other ship could have a crew I loved as much as the Magic, but the Wonder's crew is just as awesome!

We'd love to participate - I coordinated FE on our February cruise and it was a lot of fun. Everyone had a great time and I think some of our neighbors on the cruise wondered why we got such special treatment.

Yeah seasoned veterans who know how to do the FE for us!! I'm excited, i already found a picture of an adorable Lady & the Tramp FE on another thread that I'm going to try and make....in addition to finishing up all the programs and fans and favors and invitations and shoes and dresses and shirts for everyone else.....good thing i still have 8 months to go!

You might already know this part, but "FE" has come to mean little gifts that participating people distribute to each other on their cruise, usually put in hanging pockets that people hang from the metal fish outside their door (thus the name "fish extender"). They range from small candies and stickers to homemade personalized items from the crafty set (on the elaborate end I've seen pics of mini-scrapbooks, custom water bottle labels, etc.). All items are appreciated, from the smallest to the most involved.

Every group seems to do it a little bit differently, and I'm not sure of the logistics since we've never had the opportunity to do it - My last group didn't do it, and our cruises before that it wasn't popular yet. Luckily we have some people here who know what they are doing!

There are some great threads on it, now that search is finally working again. I love looking through the one here (Homemade FE Gifts)... there are some very crafty people around here!

I didn't see a coordinator from reading back through the thread (not that that means anything, I've been know to miss some pretty obvious stuff, lol). It looks like you and minie_meese have all the coordination experience. I would also be happy to help in any way possible, just need someone not as clueless as me to direct me.
