I did a foloow up call on an interview from last week, so the lady tells me "well, i decided to hire someone else", so i am ok, and to myself i am like no big deal............ but then she says " but oh my God, you interviewed really well, you'll have no problem finding a job, you were great"

Ok, What the HELL!!

I am sorry to hear this. I also had bad news. I found out that my manager was (supposedly) trying to recruit another manager from a sister site for the job I applied for. AND a consultant that I hired for a temp position is interviewing next week for the job I want - and he wouldn't even know about it if I hadn't told him I would like to hire him as my replacement if I got the promotion!!!!

All in all, not good news....

My kids are dd Emilee (9), ds Riley (6), dn Jessica (8), dnephew Nathan (5), dnephew Joshua (3).

Good news is --- 3 weeks!

My sympathies to all on the job interviewing front. I myself have always found the process a bit bizarre. I really think when all is said and done, it comes down to "chemistry." I mean, provided the qualifications are there.

Very busy this past weeknd. I had organized a DIS DVC meet-up, which took place this past Saturday. That was a really great time. About 24 Chicagoland DIS DVC owners showed up. I'm organizing another one for February.

My planning tool, Mouse Manager launched into Alpha testing this past weekend too, so that was a relief and a major milestone crossed.

Plus I finally ordered our custom t-shirts for the cruise and WDW. I put them up on Cafe Press, and ordered them through there. A little unabashed advertising as they have the Mouse Manager and Sophisticated Mouse logos.

So, is anyone as excited as I am that the cruise is drawing near. I really am in desperate need of a loooooog vacation.

Very funny post.
Okay, so I think this has happened for a reason (or two...)
1. You didn't get the job and now you don't have to spend your whole vacation worrying about your impending change.
2. You had basically a complete stranger tell you that you totally ROCK (which we all knew before you ever interviewed) and she also said you are going to find something.
3. You can enjoy the holidays and start again after the first of the year. Everyone will have a better idea of their needs and budgets after the holidays.
4. Quite possibly, because you showed initiative by calling and checking on the status of the position, you will still be considered for it. After all, could their first choice really be as good as you? No way. Not a chance.

Perk up and focus on what is really happening. We are all psyched over our awesome vacations and you are right here with us!!!!

No I think of this as a small surprise for each child. I have only 1 child and would not expect you to give three items for my child because you have 3. I believe we would just get the total count for the children and that is how many gift bags, etc we would need to get. Kinda of like treat bags at birthday parties!

That sounds good to me! So should I just keep at my Pirate Goody Bag? I think it will be very nice. Is that what yall are thinking? Also we cant forget the newcomers!! I may need to go get some more goody bags as I only bought 24. I have been very busy on School fundraisers and Company Christmas party stuff. I still have to go get gifts for Customers. That is not a hard task, just time consuming. I usually go to sams wholesale club. Then sometimes I help William to deliver. My children are out of school all next week.
