baby bird - You made her LOL. That made her day. Thanks lot. She appreciated all the well wishes. I am so glad she laughed. I will definately get some trident before our next appointment. The bread thing is what got her. She gave the hug an "ahhhh!" She can be a sap too.

Their roof expander and herbst appliances are gone now. I am glad too!! They were a pain in the behind.

Sing it SISTER! Everyone at work is going out for burgers and nachos and there I sit with my 3-point WW linguini. Tonight DH asked me what was for dinner and I told him three carrots and an ice cube.
I looked seriously FAT in our last cruise pics and I really, really want to have a lifestyle portrait done on this trip that will be pretty and not icky.

Somebody pass the broccoli-slaw...

I'm trying to lose about 5 to 6 lbs for the cruise and vacation, just so I can have a "buffer." I reached my weight goal this past August with WW, having lost 70lbs. I want to have the extra room in the event I gain weight on the cruise. I'm also training to be a WW meeting leader and I am only allowed to go a maximum of 2 lbs over my goal. So, I have continued to cut back. 8 weeks to go!

:yay:  :cool1:

That's AWESOME!!!!!

I really want to lose about 6 more pounds before the trip. DH is with me on the journey this time so it seems easier.
Have you tried Morning Star corn dogs (soy not piggie) they are awesome and three points - so worth it. Yum.
I wasn't kidding about the broccoli slaw either. It's pretty good, too!

Did anyone book a treatment in the new spa suites?
I was looking at the 'menu' yesterday and about fell out of my chair when I saw the price. Yikes! :crazy2: That must be SOME hot tub!

I havent checked out the new spa stuff yet. I am going to try to do it later. Just because Im curious now. I need to lose weight. It is so hard. I will do good for about 10 pounds then get discouraged. I have always been fluffy. There was about a two year period where I was extremely thin. I weighed 96 @ 5'2". In the long run...it made me really sick. I was literally starving myself. My menu for the day was a piece of toast and a packet of grits. That was it. I havent gained any weight in the last seven years...I just havent lost any either and I need to before I keep getting older!!!!!

I've got some great recipes, including a zero point spicey soup that you make in a slow cooker.

Share, share! That is awesome that you have done so well. I need to lose about that much weight as well. I am one of those poor-excuse women that didn't lose any of the baby weight - twice:guilty:

Oh my goodness!! That is crazy. Saying that, I have no spa experience at all. But good grief the prices are ridiculous. The Moores are going to pass on that one.

I love slow cooker recipes. I would like the recipe as well. If and when you would have the time to do it. Please.

I PM'd the recipe

I cook my pinto beans in the crock pot with 4 slices of bacon and a light spoonful of crushed garlic. They are sort of a staple food here in NM and everyone has their own ideas on how to prepare them. I use 2 or 3 cups of beans and probably 3 times that amount of water. Six hours is enough time on high but I usually cook them all day on low while we are at work which is closer to 12 hours!
They are perfect every time. I got the recipe from one of my Native American girlfriends so they are pretty authentic NM cuisine!

You have wonderful kids to show for every grey hair and every ounce of what may seem like extra weight to you. No guilt needed, my dear. Celebrate your lovely womanhood and the gifts that you gave the world. :cheer2:

Baby bird - I love pinto beans (and white northern) and cornbread. We had that alot growing up. Problem is that is not a meal for hubby! I still cook them though with other stuff.

I, too, want to lose 60 pounds. I need to excercise. It is so hard to fit it all in a day. My husband can eat it all and still look good. I dont have it in my genes. I love my life and try not to let it bring me down.

I'm really feeling guilty now because I had great intentions of dieting before the cruise and just never got there. I guess I can start today! I lost the baby weight with 3 out of 4 but this last one is really doing me in. I haven't lost any of the weight, she is a tornado and I can't keep up with her and I STILL can't lose it!

On another note- I just happened across a slow cooker thread here at the DIS (I think it was in the hobbies section and the title is slow cookers). I have cooked 4 recipes in the past 4 days in the crock pot and they have all been delicious! I'm not much of a slow cooker cook-but these have changed my mind-go check it out!

We are headed to gymnastics....just wandering if Neal is getting snow. I just know he lives in NY. Not sure if it is in his area. Its 50 here today and to me its freezing.

hello everyone,
please excuse my crashing your thread here but i have some information that will be affecting your cruise and I wanted to share with you. I have also posted on the main forum page.

I had heard some rumors about the Wonder so I wrote to DCL for confirmation which i received this afternoon.

Starting soon, ( they didnt give an exact date) the Wonder will no longer have a house band.
Thar means NO band at your sail away party
No live band in Wave bands on the evening for you to enjoy. There will be a DJ and CD's to hear.
There will still be a duo in the Promenade lounge and a piano player.

I will be cruising on the Wonder early in 07 and I really feel cheated by this.
I feel for the price we pay we at least deserve a live band on our cruise. we have always had one in the past.
Personally, only my opinion I think DCL is just trying to save a buck at our expense!!!!

Dont misunderstand me, I love DCL. We have done 12 crusies so far and have 3 more booked. I have never complained about the price. No one twistred my arm to cruise DCL. But we love it. I just feel that for what we pay we should have live music. If I wanted to sit and listen to CD's I could of stayed home.

I wanted to prepare you NOT to expect live music on your cruise.

If you agree with me, please take 5 minutes and write to DCL and tell them how you feel. Fill out comment cards on the ship too and go to guest services on board to complain about it.

I honestly hope we can change this before your cruise if we all band together and tell them how we feel. DCL does listen to their guests!! If you read the forum you may of seen a thread a couple months back about Roy Disney being replaced by Whopi in the Golden Mickeys. Dis board people banded together and wrote hundreds of letters, even when they were discouraged by the responses they received back, they got aunts and uncles, spouses, cousins, teens, neighbors all to write and guess what, 2 months later Roy was back and Whopi was gone.

Please for all of us, take 5 and write:

www.dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com

or go to their web site and click on contact us.

Thankyou so much for reading my letter and listening to my complaints.
I am sorry to crash your thread, but i felt this was important for you since

you will be cruising on the Wonder .
thankyou,
mom x4,grandma x4

It was 39 degrees as we just drove home from the kids open house at school. They say we might get snow since Buffalo already got some I believe.

I'll keep you posted :cloud9:

BTW, the bracelets arrived on Tuesday. They will be great, we should probably look for each other at night. :cheer2: Thanks!

Are there any plans to meet for dinner for people at the Raddison on Saturday night? Our flight keeps getting pushed back. We won't arrive until almost 5:00. I'm guessing we will get to the hotel about 6:30.

HA!HA! It was in the low 60's here last night and me and the kids were complaining! DH had to turn the heater on.
I guess that's why I live on the west coast-I'm pretty sure my freezing point is around 50 degrees!
