December 10, 2006 - 12/10/06 Wonder

While we are confident that we will love DCL, we are looking into booking a 7 day on Carnival on their new ship Freedom.

The week in February 2008 during a school vacation for an outside cabin is only about $400 more than the 4 day Verandah on the Wonder on a school week.

Kinda hard to pass up.

Hello everyone! I am finally back from my travels. I wish it was a vacation, as I also desperately need (okay, want!) one, but the last 2 weeks were all work related :-((

I can't believe that I acutally did not get a chance to make any reservations under my name at our 75 day mark! I never even had a chance to get on line at night.

I will update our list with the cancellation and will be answering the couple of pm's I have waiting!!

I did book the Rasul for each of the couples in our group, a group Palo dinner and brunch back under my parent's names. I also booked parasailing for my dd and dh - dd9 is also an adrenaline junkie.
Those are the only excursions we are doing and we are staying on board for Nassau day.

Is anyone planning on attending any of the Mousefest events at WDW? I need to go and see what is being planned.

Talk to you soon!

hello!! We just got back from a quick 2 day getaway from disney. This was very impromptu since we called for reservations yesterday at 1pm and were out the door at 3pm!! We did epcot yesterday and the MK today. The day was beautiful. Our DD rode misson space...the less intense one and it was great!!
We got to see the pirates of the carribean today twice! The new changes are fabulous. All day today my DH chanted, 2 months and 10 days...sigh...I can not wait!

We ended up staying at the Hotel Royal Plaza. We got the mousesavers discount and our room was on the 17th floor with view of the MK and epcot. We could see the fireworks from out room!! It is a very nice place to stay and they even have a breakfast buffet in the mornings. The best part is kids eat FREE!! It was very nice. This was the first time we stayed off property, even though it is in downtown disney. If you want a nice little get away and don't want to stay on property, this is a very nice hotel!!

Now we are back to reality and work...hopefully we will be able to go again next month, even if just for the day.

2 months and 10 days.... :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2:

I'm feeling ever so slightly inadequate.
The December 9th cruise meet thread has 29 thousand posts.
:confused3
Perhaps we all need to make a change in our list of priorities!

Just looked at that post and my jaw just about dropped!! he he he!!

I don't think our boat will be packed. Good for us!! More food for us!!! he he he

I think the Dec 9th is one of the 'Double Dip' cruises that attracts a lot of past cruisers. Hey, maybe that will be us in a couple of years:goodvibes

hey all i was just at the dollar store and got laundry duffle bags, this is cool as we will have a nice bag to keep our dirty clothes in, i also got some bath sponges too, i am happy

We plan our vacations pretty far in advance.
Next year we will do two weeks in Mazatlan and then in 2008 we plan to go to Disneyland for a few days and Las Vegas a few days more!

If you all want to watch the balloon fiesta on the Internet - got to kobtv.com next Saturday morning from 7-8 mountain time. It will make you want to come see us!

Happy Saturday to you all! I am off to work on my nest!

When you're in Cali let me know. We would love to meet up at DL. We go just about every week. If you need planning info I can help with that too!

OK, caught up after a weekend away. DH and I went to Vegas to see the Cirque du Soleil-Zumanity. It was not my favorite Cirque show-but we had a blast (and enjoyed the time away from the kids!)

DH's best friend jsut announced that he is getting married in Spain in early 2007-So we may have another vacation planned before we expected! I am TOTALLY excited about it. (Well, not as excited as I am about the cruise-but only because that is much closer!)

Otherwise, we don't have anything planned, but we usually take a BIG vacation once a year, so we'll see.

Hey everybody! We just got back. I SURVIVED!! Howard did great for his first time open kart dirt race. (We are used to asphalt) He qualified fourth out of eight. He was down 1.8 tenths of a second from the pole. That is literally nothing. He ended up 6th out of eight in the end. Not being biased but there was some "home cooking" going on. The race didnt have any significance to us but our friend is #1 in that series and he got disqualified. Howard got pushed off the track by a local and no caution was called. Later, Howard spun out in the dust, no caution was called and Howard took a hard hit. He is sore today but Home and OK!! I am so glad it is over.

I missed out on a whole page this weekend. I tried to pick up their service down there but the signal was just not strong enough. The little country-fied hotel we were in didnt have a dial up connection. Not me and christies cup of tea. The hotel was very clean and new but no extras. Not even an iron. I kinda expected it so I had carried my travel iron. Just another reason we love WDW!!!! I just can not wait.

Just think...this week our tickers will be saying 1 month! So excited!

since we cruise 12/10 lets see if we can get our post count to at least
1210

what do you say?

615...

Happy Monday!

Anyone started working on their door decor yet?

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone's weekend was fabulous.....I had my sister/brother in law/nephew here for the weekend from MD, so we spent 2 whirlwind days at the parks - MGM on Saturday, and MK yesterday. I'm exhausted! Dropped them off at the airport this morning, so back to relative quiet at the house now.

I think I've come up with my gift to everyone for the game of "tag". Now I just need to see if I can make it happen.

Have to get to work - have a great day!

I have bought some stuff but not designed it yet. We have yet another race this weekend at out home track. Howard will race in two classes which is unusual but he is fixing to move up a catagory and I want to get him a little seat time in that class before it really counts. Christies 11th birthday is oct 16th and we have to plan that. I have to get the company Christmas party finished up......and in my spare time I am going to do my door decor!!!!! I dont know how my mother did all she did with six children. She is a pro at multi tasking and I do okay but she is wonderful.

I have started and stopped with the door designs. I can't seem to make up my mind-there are too many good ideas!

Shari, glad to hear Howard's ok. I can't believe how competitive kids sports are these days. And along with that competition are those parents who want to win at any cost (and enough to cheat or teach their kids to cheat). DD8 missed her soccer game this weekend because DH and I went to Vegas and kids went camping with grandma. When I got home I found I had a nasty e-mail from one of the parents on her team about how our team is #1 and not having the best defender there made us come close to losing. Seriously, they didn't even lose! Just didn't beat the tar out of the other team as has been the case the last 3 weeks. I worry about kids that are brought up in that environment...

OK, one last post-I wish my kids and DH would get into the frenzy with me...I'm feeling a bit lonely because I am so excited!
