December 10, 2006 - 12/10/06 Wonder

I ordered the bracelets this morning and they told me they would ship on the 18th. This afternoon I got an email to confirm that they shipped out this afternoon. I should have them by Wednesday. I didnt pay extra for shipping.
They said it would take three or four days. I hope yall like them. Do any of you watch survivor? I do and it started tonight. I am a reality nut. Sometimes I am ashamed I am so addicted.(not very often really) We dont have cable or satelite or anything like that.

minnie thanks for all the hard work
It has been a piece of cake. I have enjoyed doing it. I love doing stuff like this. No thanks needed really. We have had so many little short trips all year and no more left until the cruise. I am going to go bonkers. I am very close to having my Christmas shopping done. I still have to plan the company party. The place we usually have it.....SOLD. I dont know what I am going to do now. Otherwise I am waaaaaaaaiting on our wdw trip and cruise.

That is so funny. As I'm sitting here at work catching up on the lastest 12-10 cruise page my partner said "hey hurry up and change the channel Survivor is starting!" I was reading your post as she said it!

OK, I need to visit more often! I keep missing everything! I've been sooo busy with girlscouts and PTA stuff that I've totally lost track of what really matters :teeth: THE CRUISE!

Thank you so much Shari!!

Well, the surprise is more for the 16 year old, she turns Sweet 16 on December 8th...and did not want a party.

Lisa

My youngest DD turns two on the 8th :)

My dh turns 41(ha ha ha) on the 12th. My ds turns 10 on the 27th. I think I am going to celebrate my sons one day at the parks. My daughters birthday is October 16th and we have always had a big Halloween blowout. This year she just wants her and a few friends. My son on the other hand, bless his heart, right after Christmas and right before New Years.....everyone is out of town and we end up doing something in January. I want to do something special for him at the parks. Maybe even decorate our room and have a cake delivered. Get him a birthday button from the parks so he will feel just as special as he is. The kids already have things ready for my husband!!!!!!!

SILLYANDI everytime I see your family it reminds me of my childhood only there was more of us. We had four girls in our family and my parents adopted a brother and sister. My brother is 11 years younger than me and the youngest of all of us. He was so spoiled rotten that now as a 27 year old adult he is not worth ten cents. I love kids but I dont think my motherly nerves could take more. I have just the two 14 months apart and would call my Moma crying when they were younger asking her how se did it. She is a great Mother with nerves of steel. I think sometimes my children may have missed out on some of my fondest childhood memories because it was our family of eight that brought so much joy in my life.

How in the world do you get all of that packed and on a plane? Just my family of four is eight suitcases!! We usually carry too many clothes and I want to be more careful with the cruise so I will have somewhere to put my stuff and not tripping over luggage.

My DD6 turns 7 on the 30th-she has the same problem. She gets lost in the holidays (and it has rained on 5 of her 6 birthdays). Two years ago it was the saddest thing. Her big 5th birthday party and it had been pouring for a week. We live in the hills and the only road to our neighborhood was washed out when the dam above us overflowed. No one could get to her party. She sat in the picture window with her party hat and princess dress on waiting and hoping someone would show up. I was alternately crying and laughing because it was so sad-but so funny at the same time.
I took her down the street and made her pose in front of the police barricades (in the pouring rain) so that we'd have documentation of the biggest party that never happened!

I'm going to give her a special day all her own too. To make up for getting ripped off EVERY YEAR!

I am an expert packer! We travel at least 3 times a year by plane (with everyone in tow) and we have done it since I can remember. We camp almost every weekend and we are a "team". We have it narrowed down to 3 carry ons (my purse, 1 backpack with snacks, baby stuff & adult stuff like magazines, and the kids backpack with dvd player, ipods & gameboys). We have 3 large suitcases and 2 medium. DH carries carseat over his shoulder (it has a carrying strap) and pulls two large suitcases. I wear the backpack and pull one suitcase and hold DS's hand. DD8 wears the kid backpack & pulls one suitcase and DD6 pushes stroller with DD1 in it (sometimes the kid backpack gets strapped onto the stroller). That's it.

The kids clothes usually fit in one big suitcase. DH & I share one (with overflow of kids clothes if neccessary), 1 medium case is a garment bag type that we put hanging clothes and shoes, the last is shoes and toiletries. I think I'm going to include a duffle bag or smaller empty suitcase that we can fill with souvenirs to bring home (I think DS can handle this or I can have him hold onto stroller and I can carry this one also).

There you have it, the whole long explaination (no one else is here right now so I figured it would be OK!)

SILLYANDI It is amazing how similar our families were alike. We too went camping every weekend. My poor Daddy would be in the woods with blow dryers, curling irons, makeup mirrors and tv. We couldnt leave anything at home!!!!!

I could take lessons from you on packing. I am so scared I am going to need something that I leave at home.

O.K. everyone....angelgurl had to cancel. She pm'd me earlier.

I also wanted to mention the tag thing again that someone else brought up. I still dont understand how to play. I also need to know what to bring.

We would love to!!!! Although we cant. We start my sons asphalt racing circuit next spring and it carries us six races, a week at a time. I know somewhere in New York, Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. I am not sure where else but if William is willing to carry me and Christie anywhere close to Manhattan............Its going to cost him!!!!!!! We gave up our "family vacation" for this. Its important for Howard and a great opportunity.

I hope I dont upset anyone but I ordered the bracelets my treat. They will have a Christmas tree...then say "DISNEY CRUISE 2006"...then another Christmas tree. I was limited to 20 characters. They are glow in the dark (I thought the kids would enjoy this) and a little lighter than lime green.

How could we be mad??? You are awesome! Those sound perfect - especially the Christmas tree and 2006 - what a momento :cool1:

You are awesome! (again)

Our list is getting more filled in :-)

As it gets closer we will have to get a running total so we can make reservations. Could you see the hostess...uh, we have a party of 50. he he he :rotfl:

A happy hello! to all the new people that are cruising with us!! Welcome!! The more the merrier.

I can not wait...I am so glad we met all of you!
