I haven't thought about that, but that is a good idea. Especially since you can use in on the beach when you go later to Hawaii , lol!

We can add on to our list where we are staying before the cruise. I will look at all future postings

For those that have not done the 'how many are going, where we are staying' thing, if you could post it I will add it to the 'master list'.

Being that our cruise is very quickly approaching - only 11 more weekends to go - we need to make some decisions on the tag thing.
Does anyone have any ideas? Do you all want to do this or should we just put magnets one each other's doors?
For example, DH (Joe) and I are from New Mexico. I was thinking about doing something with a native american/chile/hot air balloon theme - in the shape of a Mickey head.
I think it would be really cool to have a magnet to put on my fridge to remember our cruise and all of the DIS friends that are all over (the world?)!!!

I think tag sounds great-but like Minnie I'm still confused. Do we walk aimlessly around the ship looking for fellow Dis'er's rooms or will we have a list of room #'s or do we just put the magnets on the doors we can find??

I swear I saw something about how to do this tag thing on the boards but I did a search and didn't get any results.

What if we gave each other something at the meet the first day? That or we could wander the ship aimlessly while the rest of the passengers are sight-seeing and playing bingo.

"After reading about the magnetic door signs I came up with an idea for a fun game that would be a good way to interact with many of the DIS'ers that I met on our cruisemeets thread. I went to Home Depot and got the Alien Green mickey head, scanned it and put the phrase "Tag Your It, Pass This On To Your Fellow DIS'ers" on it and printed it on magentic paper (I than cut the paper in the shape of the Mickey Head). Many of the DIS'ers on our cruisemeets board had given each other there room #'s so our game of tag was passed on to various DIS'ers Cabins. One of the DIS'ers thought it would be great to put our screennames on the "Tag" so we would know who all had been tagged. You could imagine my enjoyment to be the last person tagged so I now have the magnet in my scrap book."

Hmmm. I guess we would have to have some sort of Rosetta Stone to find each other. Oh, well. I will still make magnets for everyone so that you will have a little piece of 'enchantment' to take home with you. (the land of enchantment is our state motto) With our snazzy lime green bracelets - you will all be easy to find!

Baby bird-that was my thinking too. No offense but I think I'm gonna be busy dancing, Bingo-ing and drinking frou frou drinks by the pool-I'm pretty sure I won't have time to check thousands of rooms for green mickey heads

What if we had a master "list" of room #'s and when we go around placing our home town magnet- we can also move the green Mickey head around.

I'm not making sense-like this. I start and go put my hometown magnet on all the doors (or as many as I can while they are mixing my drink...) and I randomly select one door to place the "tag" magnet. That person then does the same thing. We continue until all of us have a chance to place our hometown magnets. If you get the "tag" magnet back but have already placed all your hometown magnets than you just move it to someone else's door?

Does this sound like it would work?

I agree!! I know yall cant wait to get a Graceland or Elvis Magnet. I will have to do this closer to Christmas to see if they have the magnets with the Christmas theme. That is actually the only time we go to see the lights. I am assuming yall know what Graceland is. We go Elvis week sometimes too, just to see the people from literally everwhere dressed up like Elvis.

The 11 weekends before this trip, got me nervous. Time is flying a bit too quickly for my tastes. My biological calendar is off, I'm about ready for Memorial Day 2006!

I've never seen time fly like this!

Partly because my job is so fast paced. Partly because I'm still hard at work on the Disney vacation planning computer program. Partly because I'm in the planning stages of putting together and launching a Disney themed podcast. And, partly because I'm organizing a Chicagoland DVC meet-up in November.

Speaking of Podcasts, I'm casting for a regular segment, the "Mouse Mom" for a WDW segement and am looking for a mother who can do tips, reviews, did-you-knows, etc. If anyone knows of anyone, let me know. The entire podcast will be themed to more up-market, luxury and luxury on a shoestring.

Did anyone TiVo the Travel Channel DCL program? Quite good. I've seen it before and in many ways it is better than the DCL DVD.

Oh, yes, one more thing. I've got our 2007 cruise booked. This time for October (Halloween hurray). DDIL, DSIL and grandson are coming over from England for this. That one will also be a 4 night cruise, followed by 8 nights in WDW. We also managed to snag 2 hidden porthole rooms for that trip.

So, with everything going on, there aren't nearly enough hours in the day!

That is how I understand it. I could be wrong though. The doors are metal so a magnet will stick. It sounds like fun to me. It would not take long to put the magnets on the doors. The only thing is how do you know if you got upgraded? Do you know that beforehand? We are happy where we are at but if we got upgraded it would not bother us. We checked our cruise pricewise this morning and it is a little over a thousand dollars more than when we booked!!!!!!!! I am glad I booked when I did. Well everyone dont forget to pm me with your addresses.

By the way, Kristen, we are staying at the poly beforehand, we arrive on the sixth, with our best friend and child and we are cat8. I think you were going to add that somehow. I actually have wrote down where everyone said they were staying but not sure if that has changed.

I like the idea of a master room # list and the tag game/magnet idea!! So from us you will all get disney magnets!! j/k!! Does it have to be magnets or can it be something small from our state that could go over the door handle, etc.

I think anything smallish that can be attached to the door somehow (heck-it could even be taped on IMHO) would work. Personally, I'm not sure I need 10+ more magnets on the fridge-but I do like the personalization of something from your area.

Minne-we are at the Poly Dec 6th-10th too. Kristen and I had talked about a WDW meet but haven't come up with any plans yet. We will be at epcot for CP on the evening of the 9th. Maybe we can get together for pre-cruise breakfast?

Sounds great!! We also have cp on the 9th. We are going at 5:30.(or it may be 5:00) We also got a illuminations cruise with another lady I was fortunate to meet on this dis board. We were so excited about that. I have been wanting to do that since I found out about it and it really saves us the hassle about a good spot. Last year we waited 1 1/2 hours only to have to move because of the wind change.(us and a few thousand others!!LOL) I am just excited period. I think I get more excited everytime we go!!!! It is my favorite time of the year.

Everyone could get creative and it could be a very small christmas surprise. (equilavent to a magnet, just a little keepsake,maybe a bookmark) If yall go for that I will have to call my mom because I dont have a creative bone in my fluffy body. My mom is the best. She is very creative...I guess that came from experience of raising six children!!!

I like the idea of tag with local magnets, what a great reminder of all the great people you met on the cruise! The master room # list would probably be the best way to do this, and if someone gets an upgrade they can let everyone know at the on-board meet (we are still doing this, right?)

I can't wait! It is almos time. I have my reservations for Palo brunch and dinner but can not decide on the excursions or the spa yet. I really did not see anything really appealing regarding the excursions at Nassau. Our children are so spread out in age, its hard to find something that will work for everyone.
