Oh my gosh!!!!! Im exhausted just reading it. It sounds like a wonderful trip. We went to Busch Gardens last year during our wdw trip. If you ride the "dive coaster" you are a brave soul. I only rode it because my husband wanted me to and it was his 40th birthday. I was terrified. My children were begging me NOT to ride it. Anyway, we rode it and bought the dvd. It was hilarious. The whole dvd my mouth was wide open, my eyes were squeezed shut and my handprint is probably still on the handles. What made it worse was that I was too short for my feet to touch so I felt like I was flying. Anyway the ride stops twice during the ride, so when it ended, I still had my eyes shut and everyone was getting off and I didnt believe my husband. I would love to know how you like it.(or not) Also, The Safari Tour is great!!

yes, i am still excited i get more and more excited each day

am thinking about the reas package for my husband. I am a little nervous because I have never had a massage. Also a little self concious( I know I didnt spell that right!) I am pooh sized. I used to call it fluffy. Have you ever had a massage on the ship? Are there other people in there? Our travel agent said I would not regret it.

I have had massages at home, on the ship and at CC. They have all been HEAVEN!! There is no one else in the room with you and your privacy and modesty are treated with the utmost respect. The negative coments you hear about CC can be avoided. It is sort of open air, they open up the front shutters, just make sure you are covered when they open them, hold the sheet against you when you turn, and make sure they close them when they leave you to get changed. I personally wear my bathing suit during my massage on CC.

In a nutshell YOU WILL LOVE IT!

The only one I have seen advertised that I cant seem to find is the Passporter for Cruises. I have the standard one.

I have these and you MUST get them (I have a collection of books too)!

I've bought mine on both www.passporter.com and www.overstock.com. Overstock is much cheaper.

Good luck shopping and enjoy!

Thanks, I am taking your advice and ktpools. I think I am going to do the package and the couples massage thing. I think of something everyday. My husband said, "relax..we have months yet" MEN, they just dont get it. He will get excited about a week before. Right now, my daughter and I are excited enough for everyone!!!!!!!

there are many services on the ship that are so expensive, i do not plan on using the spa it seems pricy to me and i can go to the spa at home, we are doing so much after the cruise that i want to save money, i think if we were only doing the cruise then i might do more on board or escurisons, but my dtr, mom and neice want to do the bananna boat ride

She is also doing my palo ressies and whatever else we decide between now and the 75 days out.(is that right? I have read 90 days and 75 days)

105 days - Concierage level
90 days - Castaway Cay members (repeat cruisers)
75 days - Open Reservations

It can be kind of confusing!

Have yall done the banana boat rides before? They looked like alot of fun, but when we saw them in June I would be scared of losing a child on it. They were fast, and crazy. I would be willing to try it if someone has done it before. It looked like you better hold on for dear life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a vacation home on the colorado river and actually have our very own banana. The kids LOVE it. It is pretty crazy, but once you are on it doesn't take much effort to stay on. Unless the boat driver is whipping around in circles you pretty much stay on top and bob up & down. Dh calls it "marital therapy" because when I am mad at him I've been known to spin in circles with him until he's green then cut it sharp the other direction sending him flying into the river ;)

we are probably going to have to do it then. The only other thing we wanted to do at CC is the stingrays. I wanted to do the dolphins, but everyone else in the family wants to do the stingrays. I was going to do some excursion that included stingrays, snorkel and raft equipment for the day. I will probably change that. The only reason I wanted to do the massages is because I would never do it at home. Just not me. Both of our best friends get them done. Our best friend that is a dentist has his own massage table and girl that comes and does it for him ever so often. He tried to get us to do it when we went on our cuise back in june. I will get my manicure and pedicure just before the cruise. That is my dd and I special treat when the guys go hunting etc. By the way, Colorado River is where we used to want to go before we had children on a white water rafting trip. It was like a week long deal and you camped along the way. How old are your children?

DD #1 is 81/2, DD#2 is 6 1/2 (turns 7 on our trip), DS is 5 and DD #3 will turn two on our trip.
We live in CA and have a vacation home in Bullhead City, AZ which is on the colorado river (about 4 hour drive from our home).
I get massages monthly. The obsession started when a friend bought me a gift certificate for watching her children for her. I felt bad about not using it, so I put all my reservations aside-and now I'm an addict! It really is amazing how relaxing it can be (no matter how uptight you started). I am not a prude, but definitely conscious about my body image after having 4 kids so it took some courage. I have never had a bad experience and the massage therapists are always very professional (I even convinced DH to do the couples massage on our last cruise and he was in heaven).

I really wanted to do the dolphin excursion but got outvoted too! DH convinced the kids that the stingrays is more fun-because he wants to save money. I'm planning on takng DD8 parasailing too.

if you all are not aware they have changed the dolphin thing, not exactly sure on te details, i inquired as my dtr and neice wanted to do it but they started talking and i tuned it out

We (DH and I) wanted to take the children parasailing. My DD is not sure. My DS is an absolute NO!!!! He is terrified of heights. Its funny because he has no fear on rolleroasters or tower of terror. I told him "oh come on, its not that high in the air, its beautiful, you can see everything". Then one day we were reading about the excursions, and it said 600 to 1000 feet in the air....he said "no way Mom!! I cant believe you didnt tell me that". I love him so much. He seems fearless for the most part. He races go karts and sometimes exceeds 50 mph in a go kart, but cant soar through the sky.

As far as the changes in the dolphin encounter, Im not real sure. My family other than me never wanted to do it. However, I can tell you that the travel agent said there is a better one at the parks. I want to say maybe epcot. I could find out if you want me to. I really want to swim with them. I want to hang on for a ride. Once at Seaworld I got picked out of the crowd to be kissed by a sea lion. It was really cool, but I have to admit..being that close got my heart rate going!!!! Dolphins just look so precious and gentle.

I am a little jealous of all the families going. There are six children in my family and most of their children are teenagers or out of school. Although I am in the middle, We waited until after 10 years of marriage to have children. Not really planning, just alot of personal goals to meet. I would have loved for some of them to come. My sil entertained the thought, but my neice got accepted to dental hygiene school(they only take 20 students at a time) and then it was out of the question because she cant miss school. I cant wait to get on the airplane!!!!!!

Parasailing is expensive and they are only in the air 5-7 minutes, the rest of the time they are in the boat, i said no to that for my dtr, not worth the money to me.

My DD and I did the parasailing at CC on our last cruise, we splurged on it and said it was a once in a lifetime experience to fly over CC. Yeah, sure...we are doing it again this time and think it is worth every penny. The feeling you get and the view...words just cannot describe how wonderful it is.

Is anyone going to dress up for pirates night? We want to as a family,(except DH) but dont want to be the only ones.

Earnhart (#8) was second tonight!!! Any nascar fans? No need to comment if your a #24 fan.

we will not be dressing up for priate night, just regular for us

Does anyone know if there is anything like the BBB on the cruise for the little ones to get their hair done for the dressy night. She would love to. It wouldnt be just awful if they didnt. Just wanted to add a little fun on her part. She turns 11 on October 16 and she is going all out. We went to get her material for her "Belle" dress with a Christie twist. We ended up spending $60.00 for some beautiful gold silk material. My Mom had a fit. (she will be the one sewing it, Thank goodness for a Mom that can sew) She will be outdressing me as I plan on wearing a black skirt and dressy shirt I wore last year for a Christmas Party. A little to dressy for church but not a formal. I imagine my DH ans DS will probably wear plain black suits. I want this to be a good photo. At times she wants to be a tomboy, but on the other hand she is a princess. Belle has always been her favorite. I am sitting here thinking, I still have to buy her some shoes!!!!
