Because we have so many kids we are planning on being there early so we can get on the ship and into the pool ASAP (I don't want to start off frustrated because we had to stand in line with whiney kids!). How about a meet at the send off party or maybe the next morning?

Also, Welcome Minnie... We will be staying at the Poly for the exact same dates as you (Dec 6-10th) as well as KTPOOL and her very large group! Maybe we can all get together for dinner one night there?! If not we'll see each other on the ship or at Atlantis. I think we may be seeing alot of each other!
Welcome JDYER-you've found a great group!

OT I am DYING for tomorrow to get here-CP is the last thing I need to book than I will be done planning and can sit back and relax (OK, not really I'm sure I'll find something else to work on!)

Off to Disneyland for our weekly Monday trip-we have been busy the last 6 Mondays so we haven't been to DL for almost 2 months... I'm having withdrawls!
Andrea

This is why I said the terminal might not be the ideal place to have a meet, everyone has different priorities the first day. Since the kids traveling with us are 11 and 16, our priority on embarkation day will be to hit Animal Kingdom first thing to ride Expedition Everest before the car picks us up at noon.

I hear you on the CP package...been holding my breath on this one myself...and now we wait another day....

We should plan something for the Sail Away Party at least. And for those of us at the Poly and on site, we should make some sort of plans. I think that Andrea and I are planning Downtown Disney the same night (at least as of now!)

Whoo...well into the 3 month mark!

Good idea, if not at the sail away party (some may want to spend this with their family)? maybe immediately following?

Please, everyone, let's hear your thoughts on this.

wow, i am so excited guys, in 4 months our cruise will be over-this is not what i am excited about, but i will be at the mk now with 2 more weeks in florida left

Those of you doing the CP package at EPCOT - which restaurant are you choosing?

I am torn between Coral Reef and Garden Grill!

Welcome to everyone new that is going on the cruise!! That sounds like a fabulous plan. We plan on getting to the terminal early, so we can hit the pool and the food

I hope you got through this morning and got what you wanted...it was crazy! 20 minutes just to get through and then like 45-50 minutes on hold to be told the only dining times still availbale for that date were 3:30 and 3:50!

We're doing the CP package at Coral Reef on 12/9 for the 6:45 show.

We are doing lunch at Chefs de France at 2pm, and then the 5pm processional. We are going 12/6, before the cruise. I haven't been to the Coral Reef or Garden Grill since 2002. Let me know which you pick!

Hope everyone is well! :)

what happens is you book palo but you decide you don't want to eat there based on the menu do you still pay?

I got through in six minutes, but it felt like FOREVER! The waiting caused my adrenaline level to go up so high I couldn't go back to sleep! (It was 4 am here in Cali). We are going 12/9 to the 8:15 show with dinner at Le Cellier at 5:30. It was exactly what I wanted-but was told it was the only time slot left for that date/time/restaurant combo. I guess I got lucky. I read on Tour Guide Mike that several people were on hold for 30-50 minutes only to have their calls dropped! Then on call back they kept getting the busy circuits message. I'm pretty sure I would have had a heart attack or panic attack at that point. Now, 8 hours later I'm thinking "what was all the panic about? We could have certainly found something else to do if we couldn't go tp CP" Disney Hysteria-and I was apart of it!! I need to find a new hobby...

ok can someone explain what is such a bid deal about this, i must have missed something, this is not an insult, i am just confused, very confused.

I chose the Coral Reef at 2:00 for a 5:00 show on Friday the 8th. The narrator is yet to be announced. I had no problem getting what I needed and I didn't call until 8:30 AM this morning.

I also changed around some of our other ADR's too. Now I just have to keep not second guessing myself :-))

happylawyer...I have never been to CP, but I have read that it is a great way to get into the spirit of Christmas and is beautiful. At the very least, we have a nice dinner and get to sit down later on for a while, lol!

I think you have 24 hours to cancel (or maybe even less than that).

The menu is somewhere on the boards, if you want to look at it first. I will see if I can find the link.

I have been to CP and IMHO it is a fantastic way to get in the holiday spirit. We were all in awe (even the kids) and it was the #1 thing on all of our lists. If you don't do the dining package, chances are you will spend 1-2 hours in line (watching and hearing the show before yours) in order to get a seat. It's kind of a bummer to see the whole thing before you get to go in and sit. Not to mention the fact that 1-2 hours of waiting in line with 4 kids really ruins the holiday spirit! Honestly, you could stand outside and watch it, but without the same effect (did that once too).
I laugh at myself because I had the very same thought, what's the big deal? I think what happened in my case is that I got paranoid because I have my trip planned down to the smallest detail and if I didn't get the exact time I wanted I would have to spend hours re-planning. Sooooo many other people were talking about calling right at 7AM that I figured I would have to to get what I wanted (which proved correct). I have got ADR's for CP 24 hours before the show from our hotel, but it wasn't the location or time that we wanted. Didn't want to do that again?!

That's my excuse

Just changed my CP reservation from Coral Reef to the Garden Grill. I have read kind of a lot of bad reviews for Coral Reef - and with 5 kids, that could be bad for that much money! Garden Grill - at least you get characters even if they don't like the food!!!

I MADE OURS AT THE GARDEN GRILL TODAY TOO! MY DD WANTED TO GO THERE ANYWAY. I OPTED FOR THE LUNCH @ 1:50 WITH A 5:00 SHOW. I DONT FEEL WE WILL BE RUSHED AND IT WAS JUST A TAD CHEAPER FOR LUNCH. NOT SURE OF THE MENU, BUT MY DD SAID SHE HAS PRINTED IT OUT. I HOPE I HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING SINCE WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THE CP. WE ARE GOING ON THE NINTH WHICH IS OUR LAST NIGHT OF THE TRIP.

i have been to CP twice and both times were breath taking. I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

Hi All! We're probably going to book this cruise. We're booked on the 12/9 - 16 Magic right now, but we want to switch to a shorter cruise so we can spend a couple of days at the parks and do the CP and MVMCP. (This will also save us a lot of $$ ;) ).

We've done the 4-night cruise before and really loved it! We'd like to stay at WDW for 3 nights after the cruise and then head home on the 17th.

December 10th is my birthday, so this trip will be a great present!

Welcome Kathy!

Let us know if you decide to book! We are going to have fun :-))
