Can anyone tell me what they expect crowds to be like during this time? We're rescheduling our trip and these dates will work best for us - but we're a little bummed as we should have been enjoying THIS week, which I know is expected to be very quiet. I'm worried it will be pretty busy over the new dates- hours are a little later, which is good, but I'm having no luck trying to research crowd expectations for this time. I'm confusing myself - one would think slightly later opening hours means more people, but at the same time I've always heard the first 2 weeks of Dec. are pretty good. I just have no idea what to expect, and I'll take any info you have!!! :)

No matter what, take advantage of the Fastpasses.

So many people did not understand how important it was when I was there. Collect as many as you can. Get Space Mountain fastpasses first.

Coincidentally, I was just checking a 15-day weather forecast on Accuweather.com earlier tonight, and IF their prediction holds (they are usually pretty accurate, even this far out), it looks like there will be some rain off and on during your week of the 10th - 14th. So if that is the case and it rains, that will bring the crowds way down in the parks!:)

We will be there those same dates as well. I anticipate through Fri. morning to be great and then it to get hectic after that. Just make your PS's and plan...watch for the Dream Team for dream fastpasses and collect your fastpasses and you will be fine. We plan on getting our rides out of the way the first two days and just go with the flow through the weekend. We put in a tour on Fri. night which will set us up for good seats for the parade as well.:santa:

We will be in the parks part of those days Dec. 7-12 and are hoping for *light* rain. We were there 2 years ago in October and had some light rain on and off for several hours one day and the park was dead. It was really nice. We are just planning on indoor rides on the rainy days. :)

I agree. "Light" rain I can handle. That would be fine, especially if it scares away half of the crowds. I have been unfortunate enough to be at DLR on two different occasions when it was pouring rain, and that was a problem for us. It doesn't look like it is supposed to rain the whole period of the 10-14 (or the 7-12), but off and on, here and there. Then again, it is still far away. It could change by then:)

We'll be there Dec. 7-12th also and I'm REALLY hoping the rain is only light. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Yipee.. we will be there the 10-14th as well! We are going to try to get everything we want done on Weds, Thurs & Fri, so we can take it easier on the weekend days, when it is usually more crowded.. We are also crossing our fingers that the rain isn't too bad! :thumbsup2

I've been going the second week of December for the last six years and never thought the crowds were that bad. We're going again this year as well.

Will be there on the 10th through the 12th too. :santa: A little rain won't be too bad. Even a rainy day at Disneyland is better than a sunny day at work!

AGREED!!!! :thumbsup2

We'll be there next week as well. We get there on Saturday (Dec. 6th) late at night though, so our first day will either be the 7th or 8th. I'm hoping for nice weather when we first get there so we can get the most out of our days. After that we plan on taking it pretty easy. DS is (we think) starting to get his first teeth so things are a bit touch and go right now with him. A little bit of baby Tylenol and some Ovol and he'll be just fine.

We'll be at the parks on the 11th, 12th and 13th too! :)

Accuweather has the 11th listed as 58 and rain, but weather.com says 70 and sunny- who to trust?

I'm going with Weather.com because they're the weather channel...seems more reliable to me....fingers crossed anyways

I am hoping for weather dot com and planning for accuweather. :thumbsup2 That way, no matter what, I am prepared. Although Disneyland in the rain can be really fun. Buying my ponchos today or tomorrow!

bdtracey, how is your baby? Hoping he/she (sorry can't remember which) is feeling better!

The little guy WAS doing much better...must've had some bad colic or something. Thanks so much for asking!!!! Now we think he's getting teeth. No big deal really, he just gets super mad at the drop of a hat but he's much easier to get to sleep that way. There have been a couple times on our way back from somewhere that he'll get right bent out of shape while in his car seat. He just screams and screams and screams but as soon as we get him out and cuddle him he's much better. Next week in DL will definitely be on his schedule and no one else's. I'm good with that, at least I'm not working :thumbsup2

Yahoo weather is showing rain on Sunday. Well, whenever it happens we'll be prepared :)

Silly question, but when it's not raining this time of year, is it warm (like tshirt & jeans), or long sleeved shirts, or full on sweater and scarf and gloves?

We went in 2000 and I can't rememeber for the life of me, and of course we just moved and so everything (our pictures so I could look) is still packed.

Since we just moved I have no stinkin idea where our stroller rain cover is. I've never used the silly thing and now that I have a chance, it's missing. Typical.

I'm thinking I'll pack jeans for us all, and likely long sleeved shirts for the kids with some light rain coats. Kiki has a skirt though - does she need tights under?

We'll be in the parks the 9-15. It's getting close! We leave on the 7th to drive down.

We're in Corvallis, driving to DL on Sunday & Monday.

I know this time of year south OR and north Cali can get pretty nasty with snow. I don't know exactly where abouts the snow starts (somewhere south of Eugene...) and where in Cali it should let up (before Sacramento is all I know).

Also, with this year's weather, are we going to be looking at much snow if any?

We have an Expedition with AWD/4WD, and I think we have chains somewhere (if we could unpack enough to find everything after moving...). I'm assuming we'll be ok. Hoping.

Normally our trip takes 14 hours split in 2 days. How much time would you add for poor weather?

Any good online place to check our route weather? I know there are lots, but I have yet to find one I really like.
