Are we there yet? Are we there yet? I am so ready for this vacation!!!

So, is anyone else NOT doing and excursion in St Thomas/St John? If not, what do you plan on doing instead? After wandering on our own in Nassau on our last cruise, we're leery about getting off the ship and just wandering around. We're trying to save money so we don't want to spend in every port - trying to figure out if there's anything free near the ship, or if we should just stay onboard and take advantage of the lower crowds on the ship.

We aren't going to be doing any excursions either. We are going to get off of the boat and I think we are just going to walk around. I am going to try and find more out about St. John. But we are not going to be spending all day in town because I do agree that my vacation is the boat

I'm thinking St John day might be a good day for me to brave the Aquaduck... I'm not the most dainty person (c'mon Weight Watchers!) right now and I'm not keen on the idea of being on full display in my suit, waiting in line. But, if a lot of people are off the ship doing other things, maybe I'll be brave enough to get in line.

We are just going to wander. We may go to the butterfly farm.

Ever since the Nassau robbery at gunpoint of the DCL organized Segway excursion, we have been very leery of Nassau.

But since St Thomas/St John are U.S. Virgin Islands, we feel comfortable wandering there on our own.

Oh wow, seriously?! These are the things that make it hard for me to enjoy myself wandering on our own - let alone on an organized excursion! Though, I do understand bad things can happen anywhere.

Just wanted to see if any of you were able to book any of the excursions or reservations that you wanted. We are on the St. John Champagne Sail and Snorkel and best of all...a cabana on Castaway!! We are so close to double digits now!!

Glad you got what you wanted. . We did to. My husband and son are going to do the jet ski at castaway.

Hi everyone!

We have been booked on the cruise for awhile now but I am just getting to this thread. It has been a busy & stressful year for us so we are looking forward to a relaxing cruise!

It is just DH & myself as we are trying to cap off our 30th anniversary this year with a cruise & a visit to WDW for the holidays. We actually spent our 30th at Aulani back in May.

Save room on the ship for us! It will be here before you know it!
