December 03, 2005 Western Magic?

Gailyn,

I am so sorry that you lost your grandmother. Pur thoughts our with you and your family during this difficult time. Big hug from me.

Tell Nicole and Matt that Ryleigh can't wait to meet them, only 13 days.

Looks like Chichihoney beat me to it, nice going Sarah! It is on deck 3 right past Lumiere's and there is plenty of room for the kids to congregate where the adults can keep an eye on them. :magnify: :)

Gailyn, many thoughts and prayers are heading your way!

DIS meet plans sound good to me. 3:00 pm at the Promenade Lounge - See you all there!

Gailyn,

You and your family will be in our prayers. Know that you are not alone. :grouphug: We are all here if you need someone. :wave2:

DIS MEET

Saturday at 3:00
Promenade Lounge

DON'T miss it.

Great time for the kids to meet. It will make their cruise if they have some buddies. Great for the adults too!!

See you there.

Oh no, DD Ryleigh 6 has three loose teeth. Does Tinkerbell fill in for the tooth fairy if she loses her teeth while on the ship. One more thing to plan for, it sure will make a good story! Suggestions

Thank you for all the prayers and group hugs :grouphug: . They really do make me feel better. I try to remember that no matter how hard it is to loose someone you love, I know she's in a better place.
We are leaving for Cincinnati tomorrw to help with arrangements. Wake is Saturday and funeral Monday. Back to work on Tuesday....

On a happier note, we booked our room at Atlantis, Coral Towers today. We'd love to share transportation if at all possible. I can't believe all the stuff there is to do. The pools, beach and aquarium all sound facinating. Not to mention the casino which I'll probably never see!! Are there pictures of the water slides? They sound really fun. DH will go on them for sure and probably DD. Matt and I will hopefully hang out in the more timid areas!!

I think we'll plan to bring some waters and sandwiches from room service in a cooler. We have a little cooler on wheels that is a carry on. The biggest complaint about Atlantis seems to be very expensive food that is mediocre at best. I don't mind paying for lunch and snacks as long as the price is worth what you get.

I just ordered two new swim suits from Lands End. DH thinks I'm nuts. I tried to explain how shopping soothes me, but he dosen't get it :confused3 . Tomorrow before we head to Cincinnati I'm going to try to pack the kids things.

Good night,
Gailyn :)

So sorry for your loss Gailyn. Even though you know in your heart she is not suffering now it is still difficult for the family. We hope you know we are all thinking about and praying for you and your family. Have a safe trip to Cincinatti and God Bless.

Yippee!

....okay, yes, I AM getting excited!!!
Great location, rain or shine....plenty of room for all the 'green' people :grouphug:

Cindy (macphrsn) - you asked who was buying at the DIS Meet so I checked for you. It's some guy named Frank. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
And, as for the tooth fairy, what better place for a tooth fairy than on the MAGIC. :wizard:

Transportation to the Atlantis .... last time we just grabbed a cab. We'll probably just do that. Someone (I'm too lazy to look back) was looking into a limo. Is that a real stretch limo or just a pre-arranged town car? If its a real limo DS6 Matt would love it.

Food at the Atlantis - we're going to grab some room service sandwiches too. AND, have a big breakfast. Then all I'll have to buy is a couple of drinks.

Diane :fish:

Always travel with Zip Lock Bags , a small package of cocktail napkins (because they are PRETTY) and some plastic utensils....
We plan on getting some room service sandwiches, fruit, snackies (OKAY Linda, a few chicken fingers!) and pack up the water bottles in the rolling cooler and off we go to atlantis....

YUP ... those zip lock bags are great for everything!! I carry a bunch of 2 sizes. Chicken Fingers ... didn't think of that - they probably travel pretty well. We've taken the cheese and it's good too!!

OK ... why am I checking the board every 5 minutes. Matt is at his swim lesson at the Y and I have an hour to get something done - like packing, christmas presents, shopping for last minute items, tons of work stuff I could be doing. I'm adicted!!!

Diane :fish:

Have we all hit panic mode yet? Or is it just me? Thanksgiving next week, wrapping up stuff for the trip and for the kids while we're gone...and Jeff will only be home 3 days (including Turkey Day) before we leave.......stress? That's an understatement. But I too, Diane, sit here checking the boards....

Have a great weekend all!

I'm still working on the Green People thing. Need to get to Home Depot. Since we only know of 3 families coming from Cedar Rapids, should not be too big of a rush on the Green Mickey whatever. DisneyFanaticsRUs and our family are meeting tonight for semi final preparations over White Chile with Garlic Cheese Biscuits and Pizza Soup and homemade rolls. Anyone hungry? We refer to this as our training session for the 12/3 sailing date. May even slip in a Pina Colada or two, not to mention that interesting drink I saw posted from the Adventurers Club.

I have the cocktail napkins, Santa in a swim suit and inner tube around him walking on the beach. How appropriate. Someone mentioned rolling coolers, okay to bring on board the ship? I saw something about no personal coolers. But I suppose if I pack it with hair shampoo etc should not be a problem. Give me advise. I may stick with Plan A and large bag cooler.

 Hello everyone, got room for two more? DH and I will taking our first cruise ever celebrating  35 years of marriage and my 54th birthday  . We are following it up with four days in the parks meeting up with our grandson and his parents.
Our present itinerary is as follows:

Key West; Trolley on our own and shopping
Grand Cayman: Rum Point Beach and Sting Ray tour
Nassau: Ardastra Gardens and City Tour

We are going to experience our first couples massage on board and have booked Palo for dinner and a brunch.

I have been reading the boards for awhile however just got the correct info on how to post.

Looking forward to meeting fellow Disney Folks.
Sharon
