what are u doing with 18 of them

I'll have extra....just grabbed a hand full and got out of there..... :)

Pat, thanks for posting the lime green mickey! It's much better than what I did last year! Last year I went to Home Depot, picked up the alien green pain samples, went home to cut out the heads, went to Kinkos to have them enlarged then cut them out again.... That sounds so pathetic, no wonder DH was rolling on the ground laughing at me LOL :goodvibes

Cindy, the activities for the kids at CC looked really fun. They really wanted to dig for "dinosaur bones" last year but they were having so much fun at the beach, we didn't interupt them. Diane- This year Greg and I would also like to head over to Serenity Bay for a little while and snorkel so I'm hoping if some of their friends head over to the kids "club" they'll want to go.

Matt is going to be Capt Hook and Nicole is Jasmine for Halloween. Our trick or treat is tomorrow from 6 - 8. We went to a costume party at a friends house from school tonight and we had a great time seeing all the costumes and the kids. There were two tiny babies there, one 8 wks and one 13 wks and I was in heaven. I was able to hold a baby all night!!! I'll be taking their costumes with us on the ship. Matt will wear his for pirate night. I'm also bringing pirate tatoos for the kids in our group.

Regarding the dis meet, I'm ok inside or out. Last year was sunny and warm and being outside the kids played on the deck and we sat at tables near the bar. It was nice because we could really spread out and we were the only ones there. I didn't go to the promenade lounge last year but that sounds fine with me too.

Cindy- the early parade is fine with us. After LTT we'll head over for a spot to see the parade. According to my brochure from last year's MVMCP, the first parade was at 8:15 with Wishes at 9:15. I don't think our kids would make it for the 2nd parade either, I didn't realize how late it was 10:45! I don't know if I would make it LOL! I'll pm my cell phone number to you.

Anyone else want to meet for the parade on Thurs? On Friday we're doing the Magical Fireworks Voyage with Capt Hook and Mr. Smee on Seven Seas Lagoon. It leaves from the Contemporary Dock around 7:30ish and then you see Wishes from the boat and they pipe in the music. Pirates are your guide and I think you have dessert before you board. If anyone is interested, I think I can add you to our Grande Gatherings Group. I think the cost was something like $30 for adults and $15 for kids. There's a better description on Disney's site I'm sure.

Have a nice night!

Hi everyone,

It's been awhile since I posted, working way to much. I am one of 3 pharmacists at my job, and the other 2 are on maternity leave... so the day the 2nd one gets back, my vacation stars. :cheer2:

I am glad that I will not be the only one missing their furbabies. We have 3 shih tzu puppies. :dog2: :dog2: :dog2: Lilo, Stitch, and Mr. (Charlie) Bubbles (named after Cobra Bubbles -- Lilo's social worker in the movie). My parents are watching them. I am worried about being a way from them for so long. Our furbabies, stay with my mom and dad while I work so they love it their. We left them with them for a weeked with my parents and Lilo and Stitch were fine. Charlie (Mr Bubbles) did not do so good, he likes to sleep in his own bed (ie mine). Here's my question: Any suggestions on making this any easier on my little guy, actually all 3 since we will be gone over a week. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Excursions for us

Key West : site seeing and the Ship Wreck Museum
Grand Cayman : site seeing Turtle Farm, Butterfly Farm, and Hell
at Cozumel we were doing the dolphin swim. I have not had any time to research Costa Maya -- so I don't know.

Treasure is going to be Bloom from the Winx Club tomorrow for Halloween. At school they are putting on a magic show for their class party. She is bringing her Snow white costume on the ship, and we are both dressing for pirates night.

It looks like I need to run to Home Depot for green mickey heads, and get to work on my door sign.

I am thinking about bringing a digital camera on board. Does anyone know if somewhere on board they can put the pics on CD's or should I bring multiple memory sticks?

Where ever we meet on the ship is fine with me, as long as the kids have somewhere to play.

Happy Halloween

Connie

Hi Everyone....... Hope everone is getting excited!!! Thanks for the Mickey heads if I had to make those and try to do my door sign I would go CRAZY!
Emily and I have been busy with cheerleading and my DS who is 20 has been home the last week and half with Mono. It took 2 trips to ER and another one to walk-in clinic sev days later to diagnosis him. We have been trying to keep Em away from him so she don't get it. We will be trick or treating tonight at local church that has trunk and treat. The members decorate their cars and line them up in the parking lot and hand out candy also games and chili supper. Emily is wearing her pirate outfit, which is actually a skirt and qauze cotton blouse and can't forget the patch... :) We carved the pumpkin yesterday and made it a pirate also. I think I read where Shutters will transfer digital pic's onto CD for $14.95, I have thought about doing this anyway mid week just in case something happened to my camera(I erase all pic's, drop it in water, etc..) I would feel better if some were on backup. Emily tells everyone HI, she will try to e-mail penpals later in week.

Susie

I also think Shutters will put pics on a disk for you. We didn't do it last year but may this year just in case.....

Greg is out with the kids trick or treating. The weather is wonderful and in the 60's! The kids were so excited today for Halloween. We went over to a neighbor's house first for pictures then the dads and they took off!!

I can't wait for them to get back! I just wish it wasn't a school night.

I'm off to research Costa Maya just in case!

Happy Halloween!!!! :sunny:

Well Halloween is officially over. My 10 year old witch :maleficen and 6 year old princess princess: have brought home the "mother load". Weather held for about an hour and then.....down came the rain!!!

Now we can look forward to Turkey Day!

Started shopping...getting my dress alterations done tomorrow after work. Things are finally starting to come together! :teeth:

Hope everyone had a good Halloween!

happy halloween we had no trick or treaters. halloween is over now

Hi Sarah....we did not have ONE kid come here.....when my kids were little - there was 8 families with kids on our block....now there are only 2 way up at the other end.....

....and since I saw YOUR house on Google Earth, I can SEE why you had no trick or treaters! Who could find it!

Hey everyone, boy did I have the kids. My dad started counting and stopped when he reached 150. I actually ran out of goodies and even went through Ryleigh's load and got rid of the stuff I don't want her to have. It sprinkled just a little bit and about 7:15 it started a light rain. I blew out the pumpkins and turned off the light but there were still kids out there. I think this is the most kids we have ever had. I have to say this is the best Halloween we every had, lots of fun!

I'm taking the day off tomorrow to get some X-Mas shopping done. Made my list and have my coupons. Christmas cards are almost ready, need to pack up the Halloween.

We went to town(live out in the country, more cows than people) and did trunk and treat. A couple of the churches have their members decorate their trunks and the back of vans and sit next to them to hand out candy, we even saw a truck made up like a pirate ship pirate: They also had the mystery machine from Scooby Doo with 4 people dressed like Velma, Daphne, Fred and Shaggy, I wish I had taken my camera. Emily and Addison had alot of fun. We also went to our local church for the carnival type games and treats. At the end of the night they line the kids up and hand out TONS of candy. This year they had a rubbermaid tote(2ft deep,2ft wide,3-4 ft long) full!! Emily came home with may too much candy, but she had a great time and so did I!!

I have done very little christmas shopping but I hope to finish before we leave. I'm making it easy this year and getting gift certificate's for adult brother's( mine and DH'S) and I'm ordering the parents gift, but I can't tell what because my Mom and MIL are coming on vacation with us and Mom reads this board...........HI MOM......... :love2: I am getting some things while on vacation like t-shirts for my friends teenagers, and rum cake for my friend and her DH. I hope to put up the tree before we go,maybe DH will decorate while we are gone if we don't finish.

Okay, I'm shopping like a woman gone mad.....

How many swimsuits do I need?
What do we wear for brunch?

Does it get cool? Will we need jackets and etc. (remember we're from the north so cool is kind of normal here)?

Thanks all!

Hey Kris,

You sound like me, I'm having a fashion crisis!

I bought a couple of tank tops and Tommy Bahama pants the other day, I figure this would be good in the evening. I have my "formal" dress, just not sure where I put it and another fun skirt/top for "informal".

I have a couple of swimsuits and cover-ups/wraps. I could always buy something there.

I am just worried if it get cool in the evening, can I wear my Harley jacket?

Shoes, oh my too many to choose from. I hate to leave any of them at home, of course I do love my tennis shoes the best. Leaving my shoes at home is like leaving the family home.

When we went on a 4 day cruise on the Wonder (late dinner seating). It seemed most people dressed up, skirts, dresses, pant suits, and really formal on formal night. :confused3 What do you consider cruise casual for dinner? :confused3 What do you do for formal nights? :confused3 Not much shopping time left. :hourglass Any suggestions?

Thanks
Connie

Hi Connie,

I'm taking khaki pants with tropical shirts, also a couple of summer capri outfits. For formal some wear nice black dresses and some have actual formal wear. I found nice long dress on clearance back in the spring(left over holiday dress from last year) that will be formal and semi formal I have nice dress I wore to a wedding. I also am taking black pant/capri's that I can wear different tops with. Hope this helps. Tell Treasure HI  from Emily

Swimsuits - probably 3 - because sometimes they don't dry....and if you went swimming in the a.m. or on an excursion early in the day and the hot tub in the evening - you could end up with TWO wet suits the next day.
So YUPO, 3 should do it.....

Brunch - regular Daytime casual....capri's, a sundress...that kind of thing.

I don't get cool but some do....a long sleeved something would be good to bring - as it does get cool up on deck in the evening and some people are cold at the shows.

....and a pair of nice black dress pants with assorted tops will get you thru everything they have on the ship.

Good Morning Everyone!! It's a beautiful fall day here in NJ and I should be out "playing" instead of sitting at the computer. Matt (DS6) and I are going to make Halloween cookies this afternoon. I KNOW, I KNOW ... Halloween is over but I couldn't talk him into it before Halloween. Yesterday he found the black and orange sprinkles so now it's HIS idea to make them today.

I guess no one has heard what our ports will be. A friend of mine leaves tomorrow for a Western cruise and she they haven't told her where she is going. A mystery cruise. I'll be happy anywhere we go as long as there is a beach - or even a extra sea day would be wonderful. Just GET ME AWAY from work!!!
