well we are going out on a limb and taking the whole family (both sides) down for early dec. It sounds like alot of peolpe, but is really only 13 (two of which are under six). My question regards the christmas party. They have all decided to go and want to eat at Artist point first then head over. We will be staying at BWV and iam wondering what is the best way to transport all these people both directions (to and from the party)?
P.S. there will not be enough car space , rental or otherwise.
thanks for any and all suggestions.

You probably will have more luck if you post this question on the Transportation Board. There is a poster over there (Chip N Dale Express) who is a CM who was in Transportation and drove the buses. He is very knowledgable about all the transportation options from all areas.

Sorry I can't help you better. We always have a car.

My advice is to walk or boat to the Studios and then grab the bus to the VWL. Allow at least an hour for the trip.

You're going to have a great time at MVMCP - we always do!!

Best wishes -

CarolMN and I think exactly alike. Put the group on the boat to MGM and then bus to MK. I, too, am staying at BWV and trying to decide whether or not to do MVMCP on Dec. 5th. My mom is 84, and I just don't know whether it would be worth it. Although she can walk, she just can't walk far or for very long, and a wheelchair is such a pain (especially since she doesn't want to be in it). I really want to do the party though. Guess I should make up my mind soon if I want tickets.

I agree with the boat to MGM and bus to WL also.

Candace - we go every year in early December and go to MVMCP on a Sunday or Tuesday night. It's never been soldout. I have a mom who has health problems, I always wait until we get there to buy the tickets. You get the advance price as long as you buy them before the date of the party. You can get them at the front desk or the guest relations desk at BWV. Friday nights usually do sellout in advance, but not until the fall.

If you eat at Artist Point before the party, I think you will miss some of the party. The party officially begins at a given time, but if you get there earlier, within an hour or two, there already are things to do. I know they herded us into Tomorrowland, but Buzz was opened and they were taking family photos before the "official" opening time.

We alway have LONG dinners at Artist Point, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem for you, but I wouldn't go there before the party, unless they open around 4.

Bobbi:D

PS Candace, mom was 84 when we did the Halloween Party last year. It was lots of fun, and we left way before the party was over, but still it was worth it. I treasure our group picture with mom in her chef's costume.
