Dec PTR, The More the MERRIER! 12/5 Upd... It's a BABY! reveal!

I sincerely hope the DO NOT close Dumbo! If they do, I will have to not tell my mom, I'm pretty sure she will cancel the trip. We always ride Dumbo 1rst thing after rope drop. And I do mean always. It's even more important to her now with Jack being there!

Christen, from what I have been reading Dumbo will not be closed in December!!! And Shell, I think your room request is fine!!! we stayed in the 70's section last Sept on the second floor and absolutely LOVED the location. So much so that we are planning to request the same area when we go this time next year.

I forget, is Cortlyn 2? She may be fiesty and not want to nap! LOL! Claire refused to nap when she was about 2 1/4 when we went. Some days she looked like a zombie. She doesn't nap now either, but she's bigger and she will sit in the stroller when she gets tired. Something she didn't do so much back then.

Where is this video about small world. I would love to see it.

You are right about the pools. We have had 2 rooms poolside now, and each time we passed there was alot of whining about going swimming. So several days of our trip, we did a quick dip before even going anywhere.

No matter where you are at at Pop, you'll love it. It's really not that big compared to some other resorts.

I've never been to the Plaza either, but I hear it is good.

I also have read somewhere, but I don't remember wherem or when, or from who...LOL...that Dumbo will not close til lthe new one is open, then they will move the old dumbo after that. But that could just be talk.

I'm positive I will have to earn your love back, huh? Its been FAR TOO LONG! PLEASE forgive me! I'll be good about posting again!! I swear! :littleangel: We have been uber busy... We actually went home to GA this weekend to share the news of our new baby! :lovestruc Everyone is very excited for us!

So, anyway, I guess my next little post should be about what I'm thinking for EPCOT. I'm really looking forward to EPCOT since I'm an adult this time! Of course, I'll be a PREGNANT adult, so it won't be just like I had imagined... but we'll make it do!

I want to do Soaring... And I hope that I'm technically ABLE to do it... I want to take Cortlyn to the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground. That place just looks so cool! I don't think I knew there WAS a playground at Epcot. :confused3 I want to do the Land- I think that's the name of it, where you go through and look at all the crazy vegetables they are growing. I vividly remember that from my childhood. And I think Topsy Turvy TOTALLY owes Disney royalties... because I remember the tomatoes hanging upside down. :lmao:

I can't wait to walk around the world showcase and just experience the cultures! I'm sure Cortlyn will enjoy seeing dancers, so I hope we stumble on some as we walk around! We are eating lunch at Les Chefs- I can't wait! :)

I'm sure I'm missing something, but I'm really tired and I need to go show some love to YOUR threads!!! :lovestruc

Sigh... :guilty: You guys now hate me... Well... I will push through!

A little rabbit trail, but I think its important. So, over Labor Day weekend, we went back to Georgia (Some other writer of this TR did NOT go to GA... but whatever!). We stayed at a friends house and as we were driving up one evening, I saw that her neighbors had firecrackers!:woohoo: I had mentioned to Shelley that I was worried about Cortlyn and the fireworks at Disney. Well... my fears were confirmed. As soon as we got out of the car I told Cortlyn to watch the sky where I had seen them in the car. As soon as Cortlyn heard the noise she curled up in my neck and started to cry "TOO LOUD MOMMY!" and it was NOT that loud. I'm SOOOOOOO sad that she won't be interested in the fireworks. Shelley thinks I'm crazy, cause I'm not as woohoo fireworks as she is about the Disney Fireworks, but I did want Cortlyn to enjoy them. Sigh. Being the mom of a two year old is hard sometimes. But that just confirms to me that we will have early evenings when there will be fireworks... Oh yikes. Will there be a fireworks show during the MVMCP?!?!

That playground isn't at Epcot, but the movie was. (I think it's gone too, and now has Captian EO). The playground is at Hollywood Studios. I always avoid it. LOL! When my older 2 went, we did play in there, but I just hate going on vacation and playing at playgrounds. I've never been a very patient playground mom. :confused3 even at home.

As for fireworks, she may change her mind. Can you have her watch some on youtube to get her used to it a bit. Or bring little ear plugs and pop them in right before they start. My neice was afraid of the fireworks for about her 1st 2 years or so, but now she is 6 and loves them.

I still love you! I've been busy too, so I totally understand.

First off, I wanted to come...it was really this person that I share a house with that didn't! But I'm not bitter. Okay, maybe a little. But I'm trying to get over it!

Second, I don't care for your tone, Little Miss. :rolleyes2  I'm not the only one who is "woohoo" about the fireworks. But neither are you in your sad distaste for them :lmao:

I'm sad to hear though about Cortlyn being sensitive to the noise. You seemed to know it was a huge possibility though. Who knows, things may change when she's there. Kids can be funny sometimes with their likes/dislikes from day to day. As we know, you'll just have to go with the flow on some stuff. And yes, there's a fireworks show during MVMCP. But I'm not sure of the times. We probably need to look into that.

So, I made another trip to Target last weekend! I wanted to see if anything was on sale for the holiday. The dollar section once again had some Disney stuff! :woohoo: Granted it was all Tinkerbell, because of the movie coming out, but still Disney! Look! All of this was $1

First, I got little metal buckets for both girls

Also, I got a little notepad for Nita's girl. This is probably a little out of Cortlyn's age range so I didn't get her one. But she has a couple things I didn't get for Alaina (is that how you spell it? or am I getting her name and Stephanie's daughter's name confused...Christen??) so it will all even out, I'm sure.

Cute little socks for the girls!

Finally, I was also at Garden Ridge over the weekend and they had quite a bit of Disney stuff. They had a lot of activity books but I think that's slighty out of Cortlyn's age range too, boo! Oh well, I did find a book I thought she might lke. It was $4, which isn't a great price but not too bad.

I told Christen the other day, I'll have to limit myself from now on because I thought about how we're only trying to check one bag because of the ridiculous fees. Although, we could either ship it all to Christen or ship it down to the hotel right before we leave if we have to. Nothing is too heavy so we'll just have to see closer to the time. I guess it may also depend on what else I find before December!!

YAY! more stuff for the girls! I'm excited! I guess now, I need to start thinking about how to give them their stuff! I figure a few things each day. I hadn't really thought that part out as much! HA!

Oh- Jen! Thanks for correcting me!!! I guess I got confused! :rolleyes1

So, I'm going to be totally selfish and post something completely NOT Disney! :goodvibes Well... it does tie IN to the disney trip a little! My husband is on the band staff for the USM's Pride of Mississippi Marching band and yesterday was the first home game. We had SOOO much fun!!!:yay: Nita and her family (including her sister and her daughters) came and hung out with us at the game! I had my single stroller and about 20 minutes after Nita got there, Alyssa was already asking to get in the stroller.... and Nita a couple of months ago thought I was being silly about getting a double stroller for the girls in Disney. A bunny trail on that- I got a Combi double side-by-side for $30 on craigslist!!! The reason it was so cheap is that one of the trays had broken off, but the stroller still works GREAT! Okay- so back to yesterday! haha! Nita ended up carrying one of the girls while the other rode in the stroller that I pushed. I looked at Nita and said "Aren't you glad I got a double stroller for Disney?" And she said "YES! Why didn't you bring it today!" :lmao: Oh well, live and learn!!

HEre are the girls listening to the Drumline... Notice how my kid who usually says things are "too loud" is FINE!

I caught this picture... SOOO sweet and FUNNY!

Here we are practicing posed pictures with some of the Dixie Darlings!

Awww those pics are adorable! I know what you mean about the fireworks, Jack has a love/hate relationship with them. He likes them in theory. On the 4th our neighborhood was crazy with fireworks. We could hear them from inside and he woudl get so excited so we would run outside. Then after a minute he would want to go back in... I'm hoping he can handle the ones at MK. Illuminations doesn't concern me as much since there's not as much in the way of explosions, and we probably won't make it to fantasmic... but we shall see.

Those pictures are so dang cute! Your little DD is cute as a button!
Yep, strollers can be life savers! You got a great deal!

OMG... I had a horrible nightmare last night!!!!!!! :scared1:

I was dreaming that we were on a trip, but I didn't know where we were. Then, Corey said we were almost to Disney and I freaked out! I hadn't packed properly and I jumped in the back of the car so I could clean out the diaper bag. Then I realized we had like 4 diapers for Cortlyn so of course I was flipping out! :eek:I was trying to get everything reorganized and get zip-lock baggies in the diaper bag so I could keep our cell phones dry. Then Corey says he is lost and I look up and it looks like we are in the mountains of Northeast Georgia and there aren't any signs for Disney World.:sad1: I was freaking out!!! Sigh. Then I woke up. Is it too early to print directions and pack???:confused3

Anyway, So.... in other news... Nita sent me a text this week... saying that she was pregnant too!! OMG! Two prego's!!!! :goodvibes Maybe we will rub off on the 3rd adult woman in the group and she will be carrying a blessing too??

Nita is looking at flights to Orlando for Thursday. Apparently Thursdays are cheaper flights with Southwest. I wish that we could fly out on thursday, but there is NO way! I'm already taking several days without pay for this trip! Don't get me started on my crappy vacation days at my employer. Ugh. Anyway, so they are going to fly in on Thursday and stay in DTD on thursday night then go to Pop, check in and go to Epcot for the morning. They booked lunch at San Angel Inn (I think that's it) and then they will come to the MK for the MVMCP! Whew! What a day! :yay: You should see my excel spreadsheet where I'm keeping up with everyone's schedule... What?:rolleyes1 You don't keep a detailed excel spreadsheet that shows where and when you will be doing what? I'm not crazy! Stop looking at me like that!!!! :rotfl:

Sorry I have been scarce as well. It sounds like exciting things are going on in your world! Two preggos? So fun!! I made the rationale for the stroller to my hubby too. I think he is almost getting it.

Just for fun....

I've had dreams like that too. And then I always think, I'll buy another set of clothes and jsut keep washing. LOL!

Congrats to Nita

I'm here to follow along! I love all the little gifts you all have picked up for the girls! Very cute.:cutie:

Good morning fellow Diser's! :disrocks:

This will be short, but I wanted to check in with you guys! Things are progressing well with my pregnancy. I'm starting to get out of the dead to the world sleepiness. I'm having unusually evening sickness- although I'm not throwing up. I'm just unable to eat very much at all past lunch. I'm trying to snack during the day, but I lost 3 pounds in 4 weeks.

We are heading to the local Pecan Festival. Corey is really hoping for some good pecan pie! :rotfl: We'll see how Cortlyn does with the crowds! Of course, she will be great and probably want to run around a lot! :cool1:

I'm here! I read part of you PTR awhile ago but forgot to Sub so I just found it again! I missed A LOT! Congrats to you and Nita on your pregnancies! How exciting! I can't wait to read the rest of your plans, we'll be there the week before you!

Wow... I'm sooo sorry. Things are crazy around my house. I have been dealing with evening sickness instead of morning sickness:crazy2:, work has been crazy:badpc: and then we've been going to the USM football games on the weekends:cheer2:. I hope you will forgive me!!!

We really are just on the countdown... two months left to go. What are we suppose to do with our time?? Shelley and I chat all day long about how excited we are... :hyper2:

OHH!!! Funny Cortlyn story! (You knew there had to be one of those, right? :rotfl:). Okay, so the other day Cortlyn is carrying around this little slip of paper out of one of her dvd's. The paper looks like a "dollar" bill and is something about the Disney DVD club. Well, Cortlyn looks at me VERY matter of factly and says "I go to Disney World!" and I said "Oh yeah? What's that?" and she looks at me and says "My ticket!" How does she know she needs a ticket? How funny, huh? She randomly talks about disneyworld... so I KNOW she's getting excited. We got the new Beauty and the Beast and we've watched that. I'm glad we were able to "introduce" her to a new princess before we get to Disney.

Okay, well, I'm off to see what I've been missing! I have randomly checked in with you guys... just not like I should! :confused3
