Dec.free dining pin

I just saw a thread about someone getting a free dining pin for their Dec. trip. What is this about? I know about free dining during Sept. and Oct., but I don't understand what a f.d. pin means. I'm a relative newby, so I'm still learning.

It means the same as Sept and Oct free dining. Absolutely no impact on DVC reservations made through Member Services.

"free dining" never has anything to do with DVC, so you'd probably do better to check on the dining forums.

some people probably get codes by email or mail that give them "pin codes" (like you use to access an ATM) which qualify them for XX% off resort reservations or "free dining." if they get a code for free dining, they have the option to call disney and book a package = book a room at rack rates (i.e. always for cash and never for DVC points) + buy tickets to get the dining plan thrown in for "free."

disney gives their codes out randomly, though and you can't just call up and ask for the deal or use someone else's code since it is tied to their name and address.

The December 2009 free dining is a targeted PIN code offer. It is not available to the general public. You can book it at this time only if you have received an offer (usually by e-mail) with a PIN (Personal Identification Number) code. The code ensures that only the person who received the offer may accept it.

Some of the 2009 PIN offers for after October require that you stay at a moderate or deluxe resort to get the regular dining plan free - if you stay at a value resort you get the quick service plan.

All guests, including DVC members, must book full price MYW room plus tickets packages to be eligible for the free dining promotion.
