I'm so excited! Just spoke with Bill Barchik . . . Wedding Pavilion and California Grill are AVAILABLE for our first choice date of Dec 8th! We're planning a 5pm ceremony and 7pm reception. It's a Tuesday, not exactly a popular day of the week for a wedding, but it's so nice to have a date firmed up!

We had decided last weekend to make the switch from the Escape-type wedding to a Wishes wedding. The decision was based on the fact that we have more "likely to attend" guests than the Escape package would allow, and by the time we factored in our extras - a sit down dinner and a Magic Kingdom portrait session and some extra floral - we had already met the $10,000 minimum for the Wishes package. The cost difference was going to be around $600, and that would include a bunch of photo prints and and a couple of albums - so an overall better value. And - more importantly - we'd get to avoid all of the weirdness of having A list / B list or having to ask guests to leave their children with babysitters.

So, I was looking for the phone number on the DFTW website so that we could make the switch from an Escape planner to a Wishes planner, and ran across the 2009 discount info. An even bigger "bang for our buck" . . . woo hoo! That kind of stuff NEVER happens to me. I'm the girl that signs the contract the day BEFORE the discount is released :-) I guess it was meant to be!

Thats brilliant news!:goodvibes (That sort of stuff never happens to me either!)
