Dec. 7, 2008 4 nite Mousefest Cruise - who's all going?

Hi,

Yes we got our Roy Disney Suite tour slot at 3:05 on the 1st day. I saw the suite last year, but my husband didn't get a chance, so at 3:00 we will meet for the Dis meet and then shortly there after he can go down to the tour with a couple of the kids and I can stay and chat. I was hoping it wouldn't be around the Dis meet, but of course it is. Oh well---that is o'kay. I definitely do not want to miss the Dis meet. :)

Hanover--what time is your suite tour?

Vicki
Our time is at 2:45 and I know our girls want to meet around that time also. So it will just be a little crazy start to our trip!!! But who cares we are with MICKEY!!:yay: :rolleyes1 :cheer2:

Got our time at 2:40 pm so will go there first and then up to the meet. Got our cruise documents now getting the packing list together.:cool1:

I live in Uxbridge. It's a small town in the Blackstone Valley. I haven't even begun packing yet! I still have not received my cruise documents.

My dd's pedi is in Uxbridge...TriRiver Health.
Get packing...you're falling behind the rest of us!!!!:rotfl2:

We were offered 2:50 and 3:10 for the suite tour. I'm trying to get in touch with my friend to see if that will work for her.

Keegan's team won the championship and received a giant 52 inch football trophy. They played in pouring rain and during a tornado watch. Of course the boys loved it. We had to wash Keegan's white jersey 4 times to get it clean!! That was their 1st undefeated season and championship since 1984.

I called up his school this morning to see if they could make a short announcement and the secretary told me no, they don't do them for teams that aren't in the same town as the school He's played in Gettysburg (10 minutes away) for 5 years and their league is 100% better than the local one that doesn't start until 4th grade. He started at age 7 in Gettysburg. I wrote the principal a professional email stating I thought they should encourage/support all of their students accomplishments regardless of what team they play for. I really can't stand that secretary anyways. Last year the day after his chest mass/tumor was diagnosed, I was speaking to his school nurse and giving her his medication when the tardy bell rang. We had been there 10 minutes and she made me sign him in tardy. Another day when we got to the school at 1:30 after being at Hopkins pediatric oncology all morning she told me "why did you bother bringing him in, he's still marked absent." The only time she's ever been nice is when DH showed up in his police uniform for career day. Everyone I know says she's not nice (well they say worse but I'm being nice). It will be interesting to see if the principal responds. I have volunteered at the school dozens of times and have heard lots of announcments about acheivements so I thought it would be no big deal.

Does anyone know for sure when pirate night will be? I saw different navigators saying Nassau and CC day. We were on the DD in August and it was different than our other 4 day cruise. We have Palo ressies on CC night and I don't want to have our friends miss the pirate restaurant meal.

In Oct pirate night ended up being CC night. We had to change our Palo to another night (no problem) :goodvibes Just headed to 'Wave bands' after lunch, when it opened and got it changed :)

I know Adriane is really looking forward to meeting Amanda so if for some reason they miss each other at our Dis meet (I know she really wants to see the suite tour again too) then she will be sure to call your room sometime between the Dis meet and dinner to talk and hopefully meet with Amanda. That first day on the ship is always crazy with so much to do...but like you said "who cares we are with Mickey on the ship":goodvibes :cool1:

I can't wait to go on this cruise!!!!!!!!!

I have made some very good friends due to the DIS boards!! In fact, the friend I am cruising with, I met through these boards! I traveled to WDW in late Sept (after having been there about 2 weeks prior) just to meet a couple of people I have 'met' online on the Transportation board.
Yep, it is really funny how close some of us live to each other.

My friend is the main person on our cruise, so I have no idea if documents have shown up yet. She has gotten everything to date.

Good Morning!

No documents for us yet. Like I said before, I doubt our AAA agent will even call so we'll probably have to stop by and ask for them. At least we have our online registration done so we really only need our luggage tags.

I have not started to pack yet either. I finally got around to having the boys try on clothes and make sure they fit, so I at least know what will be going in the suitcases. We probably won't pack until the day before we leave. We keep an overnight back stocked all the time so besides our clothes and overnight bag, the only thing we need to pack is our FE stuff and our camera/video camera/lap top bag.

Does anyone know for sure the shows for each day. When we were on the double dip in August, they had the Golden Mickeys, then pirate night, then Toy Story then Disney Dreams. I just recently saw that they are doing pirate night on our cruise on CC day, which is different than the other 4 days we have been on. I asked my friend that's a TA and she could only find old navigators with pirate night on Nassau day. I called DCL and the woman said she only knows the movies not the shows. I'd like to find out so I can figure out a better time for our Palo reservations. I don't want our friends (1st time DCL cruisers) to miss out on the pirate festivities in the dining room.

Did anyone get their Roy Disney suite tour time? Deb emailed me and said it's only during the afternoon on embarkation day and I didn't want to hold up anyone's spot if they are only offered around our Dismeet time. The day is going to go so fast betwen our meet/life boat drill/Sail Away party/dinner & the show.

:wave2: Hi. Hope everyone has a great cruise.
