So codes have been released to some for free dining in December except for the week of Dec 7-14. What is happening that week? Why would they exclude that week?

You should do a search here, because others know better than me, but it's always the AllStars and one moderate as an overflow. and it could potentially be all three AllStars, with Sports filling up first.

If you check CBR for availability, they are booked in some of the categories, so it is a pretty safe bed that is their moderate.

True about the All Stars, but a moderate resort is always offered to families as well. Last year was CBR with overflow at CSR. But nothing is for certain this year until its announced to Pop Warner in the fall. CSR last year was a first.

If you are staying deluxe, Pop Warner will be a non factor. The only bummer is that week will likely be blacked out for any and all discounts.

Which one? POFQ seems to be busier than usual lately, so much so that it has been blacked out from a few recent discounts. If POR is the one filling up that week, I'd be nervous Pop Warner could be at that resort. They used to stay at POR pre-refurb but I believe CBR is undergoing the refurb this year, so maybe they will go back to POR. Who knows!

Also, when your friend was searching, if one night of the 7 nights (or however many) she was searching is sold out, it will return nothing as available. So, there could be open availability nights 1-4, sold out on 5, and open on nights 6-7 (for example) unless she looked at days individually.
