I've cruised both the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean in the same time frame and I definitely needed a sweater at night when I was out on deck. I freeze pretty easily though. You have to remember while you're sailing the wind is always blowing, which can make you chilly if you get cold easily.

I find that I often need a sweater inside, too. The restaurants and theater can be quite chilly sometimes, although DH always complains that it's too hot in those same places. I guess that's why we've been married so long--opposites attract, right?

Always a good idea to have a sweater or jacket handy for me. I can be freezing one minute and having a hot flash the next! Hehehehe!

I just wanted to ask: Ladies, how 'dressed up' are you going to be for dress up night? Are sun dresses with heels dressy enough or is anyone going more posh than that?

I always bring a shawl. Great for those moments when I get a chill (I also get cold easily) and to dress up a plain black dress.

Welcome to the party!

On the 4 nighters, I usually wear a nice pair of black slacks and a pretty top of some sort. I save the going all out for the 7 night cruises with semi-formal and formal nights.

A tasteful sun dress and heels would be just fine. I wont go into my whole thoughts on this because the subject of dress code on the disboards brings out some serious flame wars. I will simply say that personally, I like to look "nice" for dinner.

Hey! Welcome to our sailing! Right now I plan on slacks or Capri pants and a cute top, but am thinking about bringing a cute dress I just wore to my nephew's wedding also. I think as long as your sun dress is not to revealing it will be perfect!

Does anyone have information on shipping packages ahead of time? The information I found on the Sticky thread was dated 2009 so I am not sure if it is still current. I would prefer to ship my FE gifts rather than pack them. We're doing 2 days before and 5 days after, so I'll need room in suitcase, especially with jeans and sweatshirts and winter clothing. (Yes, it does get cold in Orlando in December.)

I can't help with sending packages ahead, but I can confirm that it can get VERY cold in Orlando! The last time we visited WDW in December, the first few nights we were there the temperature went pretty far down into the 30's at night. That was the year that we decided that tent camping was no longer our idea of fun LOL!!! We wore coats, hats and gloves after the sun went down. The last few days it was back in the high 70's and low 80's. So now I bring clothes for any possible weather, including rain gear. It's kind of like how it never snows if you know where your snow shove is, right?

I guess I should be prepared this time around and pack a few warm things.

I will have with me the $50 sweatshirt I bought at Fort Wilderness in December of 2003. I promised myself that I would always make room for it in my suitcase because I don't want to have to spend that kind of money on a shirt again!

I need to back out of the fish extender. I was making christmas ornaments for the FE, but the main part of my ornament is on back order and won't arrive until at 12/1. We leave at 6 AM on 12/2 on Southwest and I can't make 20+ ornaments on top of packing, the day before we leave. I ordered these a month ago, but was told the backorder would be filled by end of this week. I'm so sorry for the short notice.

I am still going to do the Secret Mickey exchange though. I have plenty of time to do that!
