Hi all! My family is booked on this cruise and cannot wait! We just got off the Fantasy Eastern on Saturday, and I can now focus on this cruise! I am not very active on here, but I hope to be in the future. And I'm going to look for the Facebook page which was great for our last cruise. We would also like to join the FE, so I will add our info to the Google docs list ASAP.

Our family consists of me (Tracy), DH (Greg), DS13 at time of cruise (Cade), and DD7 (Addie Grace).

Looking forward to counting down with you all!

I'm a bit confused with Fish extender stuff. I want to join but without someone to organize it I'm not sure what to do .....who to give what...where they will be.
The Google doc is great but I think some people haven't added info and updated.
Anyone have any advice?

As long as we aren't stepping on anyone's toes, Marc and I will take on the FE. I feel like the majority of the work has been done with the document that has been started.
What we need to do as a group is decide:
1. What date we cut off taking new members.
2. How large will be allow the group to begin. (a second group can always be started, we ended up with three groups in the last couple of months on our 6/1/13 cruise)

Typically groups don't get much larger than 25.
I would suggest a cut off date for group one at either 25 cabins or November 15th.

Since Wally was asking, this is how we have done FE gifts in the past,
one gift for each cabin, and then something small for each child in the cabin.
These can be given out any day of the cruise. There was some confusion on our last cruise because some thought they had to gift each day. While if that was their wish, they could, it was not expected....

I also like the idea of the magnet exchange. Let me know your thoughts on this!

This is OUR FE not mine. I just want it to go as smoothly as possible!

In all fairness once gifts are planned for one complete group, some folks go to a certain amount of work to personalize items and if this group fills up soon they might want to go ahead and work ahead.

If another group forms, and it very well might, some of us in the first group may want to join in if it needs to be boosted up in numbers.
We thought that was going to be the case in June, but in the last month we had so many late comers to the group that we were able to fill two more groups!
One group was formed 2 weeks before the cruise sailed!

Once the FB group gets more active, we can certainly get the magnet group going as well.
Fun times ahead!!!

Hi,
I wanted to introduce ourselves. I am the mom of two Disney-lovin' kids --- a son (almost 10) and a daughter (6). We will also have my husbands parents and our brother and sister in law and their kids together on this cruise. It is a huge Christmas surprise for all of the kids!

We've only been on one cruise before this... Alaska on The Wonder. It was so much fun to participate in the FE, so we are excited to do it again! We have already added ourselves to the FE google doc... Hopefully, correctly.

Can't wait to join you all to ring in New Years aboard the Dream!

In the pre-cruise planner DCL sent me, it says that the Pirate Deck Party is on day 3 which I believe is the 31st (New Year's Eve). Think that'll be changed as we get closer? Might the Pirate Party be moved to another night and New Year's Eve be a formal night?

I had this cruise booked for quite some time trying to decide if we should go or not. Still not 100%, but definitely leaning that way. We have two rooms and it would be me, DH, DS(13), DD (11) and either my brother or father joining us. My big concern is the weather, I like it hot. Also hesitant about such a short cruise. I like the longer ones. My son is dying for a new years cruise, but we will be driving from Missouri.

I just got caught up on reading the posts since I last checked in.

Can anyone help me with making changes to the spreadsheet?

I need to add some names in my room and couldn't figure out how to add a row in under my name. I was able to make the changes and then added Carlee in the Gray area. But I need to add 2 names under Christopher now and did not want to mess anything up.
Please note: I changed our room numbers and our total group count is now 10.
That may go down to 9, I'll keep you posted.
If anyone can give me some pointers on adding rows under our group on the spreadsheet, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I agree with a cap of 20 or 25, and November 15 would be a good cutt-off date for me.
I'm not active on FB yet and am not wanting to start now. I don't want to be a pain, but could someone just give any vital info on this forum? If that's too much to ask, just let me know.
