dec 27 - 11th jan crowds at universal

hi we will be going to orlando on 27th dec to 11th jan
what will the crowds be like at Universal?
I know disney will be very busy but wondered if universal was any less busy than disney - do they close the park midday etc if it gets full like they do at disney?
any advice would be grateful

From 12/16-12/31 the parks are massively packed. From 1/1-1/5 the crowds are still heavy, but they begin to diminish.

After the first week in Jan, crowds disappear.

Universal has never closed its gates due to capacity, but if it reaches that point, they will.
