It's official, we'll be on the Disney Dream in 368 Days! 1st Cruise on the Dream, our last was in Jan 2012 on the Magic! The BIG question is when to spring the news on the kids!

It's official, we'll be on the Disney Dream in 368 Days! 1st Cruise on the Dream, our last was in Jan 2012 on the Magic! The BIG question is when to spring the news on the kids!

Can you give it to them for Christmas this year? We can't keep our cruises a secret from our kids because we have so much fun talking about them ahead of time.

That's a thought, but I think they would be un-bearable for the next 12mo! Last cruise it was an x-mas surprise for a Jan 15th sailing, and they were CRAZY, but that was our first cruise, a 7 night EC.

Took first Disney cruise in November on the Dream... Loved it! So, booked Magic for Feb 2017....kids know, but along same lines, it is so hard to believe that one of our kids will have 2 birthdays before we board!! So crazy to think how far away we can book vacations!

Hello! My family is cruising on the Disney Dream December 22,2016 Christmas Cruise! This will be our 2nd cruise on the Dream! Our first was August 2015. I know it's almost a year away still but we are already planning our FE gifts! See you all in December!

We've kept our 2016 spring break cruise a secret from our son for a year now. And we won't actually tell him until the morning of the cruise when I have a character call scheduled. The plan is to tell him we're going on a work trip with Daddy, so that covers suitcases and flights. Then we'll let the cat out of the bag the morning of the cruise. We have another cruise scheduled for 2017 spring break and we MIGHT let him know at Christmas. Otherwise, we hold off as long as possible! I can't handle answering that many questions every. single. day.

Ok, we have tossed the idea of a Disney cruise over Christmas around but I must know, how do you explain this to your kids, being away from home on Christmas day....Santa can't come, etc? I would LOVE to cruise over Christmas holiday (on actual Christmas day) but I am not sure how my kids would like that.....they would love being on a Disney ship but being away from home on Christmas day may throw them for a loop, my 7 year old more so than the 10 year old.
