Thank you. Both Reese and I appreciate that. :) The competition is over and now we just wait. The essay portion was judged last week, I heard the whole thing is super close between Reese and another girl, it could come down to just a couple votes. Phew, it's nail biting, but I was so proud of Reese and the other girl, they were cheering eachother on and right before they tried out they hugged eachother, and when they were done they high fived eachother. Total good sportsmanship on their part, the third girl competing wasn't as nice to everyone. Oh well.

Hi Ty,

I have been keeping up with your preTR (well kinda - I went back to work and have been super busy, need to get into a routine here!). I love reading your posts, especially about cheering.

My daughter started on a competitive squad this year (we are down in Montgomery/Berks Countirs) and will be starting competitions in Dec/Jan and then on throught til spring. Maybe we'll see you at competitions!

Can't wait for the Disney TR!

Even more exciting news is matt and Loreal plan to move here after the baby is born.
I feel some Auntie Ty spoiling coming on!!!

I love Kents family, but to have my brother here would help so much when I get to feeling homesick for my family.
Oh absolutely! Nuttin compares to blood!!

I have lost 30 punds since June,
That is wonderful!! You are my hero!:worship: Any special diet?

all star cheer squad this November, that's a whole new level of cheering, but she is so excited.
And so is Mom!!!

We are 56 days away from our trip
Woohoo! It's coming! Mine is now 42 days away. I have restless body syndrome! Think they make a pill???

Hi Eliza
Cheer competitions are so much fun. I am excited for you and your daughter. Who does she cheer for? You never know we might run into eachother, wouldn't that be fun?! Reese has always said she wanted to cheer allstar someday, I never thought we would actually do it (mostly financial reasons) but we are jumping it with both feet. Our comps start in January and go through spring as well.

I can't wait for the trip to Disney so I can start my trip report.

ILMICKEY Me? spoil the baby? well of course I'm going to spoil that baby!!!!
No special diet for my weight loss, I just eliminated soda and try not to eat past 7:00pm.

They do make a pill for Disney restless body syndrome, it's called valium. It numbs the mind as well, so I choose not to take it and just suffer the painful stabs of waiting for the most anticipated trip of my life (so far, cause there will be more) try screaming into a pillow, it helps release some of the penned up excitement energy. Also standing in the front yard and yelling as loud as you can I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! offers some relief, you'll get more relief if you do that some place crowded, like the mall, but the best relief is shouting it in a library while doing a little dance, it releases all the disney endorphins, you feel relaxed and could sleep like a baby once you have escaped security. Let me know what method you choose and how it all works out.

Hi! She cheers for the Spring Valley Heat, a 5 year old organization (don't know if that is young or not). This is her first year. I only know for sure that we are going to Disney the first weekend of April and to Beast of the East in Wildwood NJ on the beach in June or something like that. All other comps are listed but yet to be finalized. Who does your daughter cheer for? Maybe we will see each other?!

Reese cheers for the Raptors, they are in York county. this cheer program has been around for a while but keeps falling apart, they have a new coach now and she is pretty much starting over and reshaping it. She anounced that this year the competitions will all be local. We might do reach for the beach though.
How cool to go to Disney for cheerleading. Reese has that as a goal of hers too. I would love nothing more than to go to Disney for that. That would make a great trip report too.

I have read somewhere that Cinderellas castle is going to be decorated with millions of tiny white lights this Christmas. Is this new, because I have not seen it lit up in pictures. Has anyone else heard about this?

It is new this year. I saw a video clip about it on the Disney site. It sounds like it will be beautiful.

Just another great thing to look forward to. I can't wait. Part of me wants to bring my old cannon so I can use the special filters on it for taking pictures of lights. I might have to do that for one night.

I just read that in an email (I think it was the Passporter) newsletter I get. Apparently it's new. :confused3

I am wondering though if the lights will be on all the time or just for the MVMCP???

Anyone know?

It sounded like they were just doing it for the party. I don't plan on going to the party. I NEEED to see these lights!

That's great!! I am very proud of you:thumbsup2 !

I went to all the pharmacys to get this "valium" and know what? They say something about needing a prescription.
HUH???
So I stopped into the Dr. office. The nurse says I need an appointment, I say no I don't I just need a prescription for valium!
Suffice to say, I didn't get any. But I did get the name of a good Rehab!!

So, I will be trying the other things!

Thank you every one! Even more exciting news is matt and Loreal plan to move here after the baby is born. I'm not sure how long after, but it will be nice to have some of my family close by. I love Kents family, but to have my brother here would help so much when I get to feeling homesick for my family.

I am so happy for your brother, sister-in-law and all of you!!! That is so exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: Not only do you get a new member to your family, but family moving near to you. You are totally blessed, girl! It's like you got some early pixie dust or something. :goodvibes

Now lets talk Disney. I have lost 30 punds since June, it has come off so slow that I couldn't really see it, but I have been getting positive comments from friends and family, so yesterday I went and tried on clothes that haven't fit in a couple of years and YAY! they fit now, so it's kind of like getting a new wardrobe and just in the nick of time for disney. Bad news is, my bathing suit and the Disney shirts I bought are too big now, I am going to try and take in the shirts.
Did you know you can lose weight in your feet too?

Congratulations!!! It's great knowing that there is someone else out there going through all of this, too. I officially lost 22-24 pounds as of this morning. Isn't it exciting? I know what you mean about not noticing as much till you get all the comments. I'm having trouble with clothes I thought I'd be bringing on our trip, now being too big to wear. But, that's a good thing to have to deal with, right? About the feet, I thought it was so weird when some of my shoes began feeling too big. I honestly never realized that could happen! Ah, shoe shopping. I guess we'll just have to suck it up and get new ones, huh?

I have started packing some things, some shorts and capris, hopefully this heat spell will be over soon and I won't have to go and dig out the summer clothes I have packed already.
As the time gets nearer I am able to focus better on what needs to be done. And now that Red Lion Homecoming week is over I can chilax some. I think I held my breath the whole time. Next is Cougar homecoming, it's not as stressful, there is no parade, powder puff games or Bon fires. Reese graduates out of the rec program this year, tonight she will compete for Cheerleader of the year, and then we will find out if she won this Sunday at the game. There are some great cheerleaders on that squad, people are saying it's going to come down to Reese and another girl. They are both so deserving of it. (wow! way off topic) but to sum it up, Reese is going to the Raptors all star cheer squad this November, that's a whole new level of cheering, but she is so excited.

Make sure you don't leave us hanging about how Reese does. :cheer2: I'm cheering her on from NJ! :cheer2:

Ok back to disney. I am going with Theresa this Friday to AAA just to tie up some lose ends. We are 56 days away from our trip and everyone is excited now, not just me. Reese said she wants it to be the best vacation of her life, of course I would like the same. I get all twiterpated when I think about going to Disney, and then again when I realize it's going to be all decked out for Christmas. I try and imagine what it will be like, I don't think my imagination even comes close.
I am bringing my video camera this time. Coley and I have it worked out that when I am taping she will be taking pictures and then we will just make copies and switch. I will be taking pictures too of course, but this way I am covered in all ways. I can't believe I didn't bring my video camera last time. I am so glad I get a second chance to do this right. And then with my parents coming for Christmas, they will get to watch all 400 hours of video. :) and I will get to relive my vacation over and over, backwards and forwards and even in slow motion if I want.
I have purchased 2 12by12 albums for my trip this year, I got them at Michaels, they are strap hinge and have a frame on the cover. So I got one in Red and one in black. then I have the Disney 7by7 album for autographs. I was going to predecorate it and take it with me, but then I rethought that idea and I am just going to bring cardstock for the characters to sign and then put it in the album when I get home. I just don't want to lug it around the parks.
Work calls so I have to go. Talk at you all later!

I understand how Reese feels about wanting to make this the best vacation ever. That's what my DH and I keep saying about this upcoming trip. It is exciting about the castle with the new little white lights. It's going to look so magical! I can't wait to compare pics of it when we return from our trips. :goodvibes

Oh, you better spoil that baby! At least on your trip, you have an excuse to buy cute Disney baby items. :woohoo:

Shouting, "I'm going to Disney World!" really does work. It also works to wear Disney items as often as possible. I have begun wearing Mickey earrings that I love quite often lately. Now that it's getting a bit cooler, my DH and I have gotten out the Disney sweatshirts to wear and telling each other, "This is what it's going to be like in Disney!"

Let me get this - the baby's momma's name is Loreal? Like in the makeup? Thats different.

The castle sounds like it'll be beautiful - you don't know how much of a big smile you just put to my face. I cannot wait!!

Congrats on the weight lost. Isn't it so neat to not really try too hard & not even tell it came off till WHAM!!! & it shows.

What does a squad have to do to get Disney for cheering?

Lifelong dreamer I can only imagine how breathtaking the castle will be, and supposedly you won't be able to see all the wires during the day. I wonder how they plan to pull that off. Can't wait

SwansLovedisney I totally cannot wait to take pictures of the castle, I'm sure i will take a truck load of pictures.

LurrrvtheDuck I love how disney keeps coming up with new things, keeping it fresh for the annual vacationers is smart.

ILMICKEY I have no idea if it is just for the party, if it is just for the party I am sure you will be able to see it from somewhere. If not you know one of us here on the boards will have great pictures of it. But try this idea of mine...on the night of the party, right before you have to leave the park, fake that you have lost a contact lens, be on your hands and knees infront of the castle searching, when a cm offers to help say, "Maybe if you turned on the castle lights real quick i will be able to find it faster." When the lights come on snap off as many pictures as possible, then say, "Oh, here it is, is what stuck up in my eyelid the whole time, silly me."
sorry you couldn't get your valium, there's got to be something mind numbing you can do, try standing on your head for a bit.

njdisneyfreak Thanks, we are all so excited about the baby. He/she will be here in May, then i will start my 4 year countdown to take the kid to disney. Matt said he's not sure he wants to subject his kid to Me and my disney addiction, i pretty much told him he had no choice, as the babys aunt, it is my given right to take that child to disney.

roxannensteve Yes, she is Loreal like the make up, We have always just called her Lola.
I am super excited for the castle, just when you think it can't get any better!
I have heard of a couple ways to get a cheer squad to disney, I guess it also depends on which competition you are doing. One of them is to win a bid, another way is to tryout for a spot. I don't know too much about it because it has always been out of our league, but now with Reese going allstar it's a bit more attainable.

Everybody! Reese won cheerleader of the year yesterday. It's her last year with cougars and this was a great way to go out. She is so excited that she gets to ride in a red convertable mustang in the parade this thursday. I was so happy for her when they called her name (yes i cried), and the great thing was last year Coley had won cheerleader of the year and so she got to crown Reese this year. Photobucket is not working, so I am going to Theresa's house this afternoon and see if I can't upload the pictures there. I hope it works, I hate the thought of having a picturless trip report. And I would love to post the pics of reese, she really rocked that crown!
