Dec 2007 A mouse Odyssey/lotsa pics

Oh, you are gonna hit pay dirt at Bronners!! They had some muppet ornaments at Walmart today, but that was about it.

Take lots of pictures of all the disney stuff at Bronners please, I would love to see it all. Last time I was at Bronners I wasn't quite into my Disney fanatic stage.

There will be lots of pictures. I will probably do a mini-TR on my pre-trip thread of the whole weekend with the main focus being Bronner's/Frankenmuth because lets face it, Toledo isn't all that exciting.

I cheated a little, I tiptoed over to the Christmas aisle at Walmart today and peeked, I only peeked with one eye though!

OMG Ty I was thinking of you about this the other day! :rotfl2: I cheated too as I was walking through JoAnn Fabrics looking at all the Halloween stuff I rounded the corner and ended up walking through the Christmas stuff. Yes my willpower was weak. But I didn't buy anything!

I have made a loop hole to get past the rule I made about staying out of the Christmas aisle until November.

If you only look with one eye it's not cheating. I just came up with that today. Am I a genius face or what?

I am back from Hershey Park. I will try and get some photos and a mini report out soon. For now I am going to sleep.

Can't wait to hear about Hershey, either! I love Hershey Park. Not as much as Disney, but come on, it's a whole park based on chocolate.

I need to start off by thanking njdisneyfreakfor booing me.

My hershey park trip started with me trying to decide if I wanted to wear my crocs to the park. I thought hey this would be a good way to try them out, but I decided against it, I thought it would be to hard to walk in them, for those of you who have been to Hershey Park, you know the place is very hilly, it gets steep at times, I ended just wearing my most comfortable pair of flip flops and bringing with me a box of bandaids, yes you heard me, a box, not just one or two bandaids but the whole stinking box, I was expecting the worse because that is always what happens to me.

Reese and I got to her friends house at around 9:30am, Reese went up to her friends room and Crystal and I hung out and talked the usual getting to know someone better talk.

We left her house at 9:45am. I was nervous driving, I had my husbands big beast of a truck, it had been a while since I had driven the aircraft carrier, but I got back into the hang of it in no time. We stopped at the Mcd's on 83 for breakfast.

DINING REPORT
Reese and I each got the fruitnyogurt parfait, we are not huge breakfast people, so we kept it simple. It was delicious, it's one of our favorite after cheerleading snacks, that or a Ritas gelato.

We were back on the road in half an hour and made it to Hershey in no time. I managed to park the battleship with out hitting anything or people. The tickets were handed out and all the kids took off leaving Crystal and I just standing there with our faces hanging out. I thought we were going to follow the kids from ride to ride and hold their purses and cell phones with the strict instructions to "not answer their phone unless it's (insert boyfriends name here) and then just tell him I will call back, under no circumstances are you to say anything else." But no, we didn't get that privilage.

We walked slow taking our time getting to the entrance. Crystal waisted no time getting to the good, you know how some people will wait and feel you out before bringing up controversial issues? Crystal just jumped right in, my kind of lady there! We got into the park and found the girls posing for a picture with the Hershey chocolate bar, so I went over and took a picture with my canera, Reese had left her camera at her one of her friends house but had plans to meet up with her at the park later and get it (seems like all of York County was at Hershey that day)

Here is a photo to hold you over. I have to leave now Reese has gymnastics, but I will try to be back soon and post some more.

Glad to hear that you and Crystal were off to a good start. For some reason that chocolate bar costume kinds freaks me out!:scared: :lmao:

Darn it! I was hoping to get a croc story. After all the wonderful things I have heard about them, now I hear they ain't so wonderful!!

Good Grief~

No pictures of the dining plan?? Your new friend probably would have thought you were nuts.

Sounds like your morning started just fine!! Can't wait to hear the rest.

I just have to comment on Reese - she is so beautiful. How long has she been letting her hair grow? Its so long.

Lifelong Dreamer glad to see I am no tthe only one freaked out by the Chocolate bar character. The kit Kat dude is even more freaky.

SwansLoveDisney Just practising for the real trip report. Glad you think this one is doing ok.

ILMICKEY I still think crocs are comfy, I just thought that with all the hills I might slip out of the crocs. I was also afraid of getting them all yuckified before my trip to Disney.
I thoght about taking pictures of my food, I got out my camera and then Reese got this terrified look on her face. "What are you doing? Don't take pictures at McDonalds." I played it off and said I was checking my batteries.

roxannensteve Thank you, I think she's beautiful too. She has been growing her hair out for 4 years, she gets an inch cut off every 2 months.
Her hair at one time was gorgeous and down to her waist, I sent her out to her Dads house one summer, (this was 5 years ago) she came home with her hair cut right below her ears. It was a cute haircut, we had a friend put in highlights to dress it up. But we had planned together that when she cut her hair we would donate it to locks of love, her step mom who cut it just threw it away. I am still in shock to this day that someone else thought they could make a decision like that and not even ask my permission.

:headache:  :furious:
One summer I gave Sport money to get a haircut when he went with his "father".

He came home with a mohawk. I was so freakin mad!! NEVER again.

But with no permission?? :furious:

No permission at all. Talk about over stepping your bounds. I had my lawyer send a letter to their lawyer. Really nothing could be done, I just wanted it on the books what those people will do to spite me.

I never let on to Reese that it bothered me, she really liked her hair, but it was the principal of it all. You don't cut another mothers childs hair unless you are asked to.

I really wanted to add alot of photos, but photobucket has crapped out on me. It says my images have been uploaded but they don't show up anywhere, so I am done with it for now and I am very sorry to say, you will not be seeing any pictures of me. I know, I know, you had your heart set on that, I will just tell you that I was very sexy looking that day, my hair was beautiful and I looked amazingly thin. Get a visual and go with it.:lmao:

All of us as a group headed further into the park, I was starting to think maybe we could hang out with the girls after all. We ended up at the ATM, money was dispersed, and then that was the end of that. Bye Reese, think of me when you are spending that money I gave you.

So it's kind of quiet, Crystal and I talked about different rides, we both agreed that the repititous spinning rides weren't worth our time that day and we went in search of something death defying.

We started out on the claw, it's spinny uppy downy, so it is kind of death defying. I love going on this ride bare foot, so I kicked off my flip flops and just had a blast, it's a stomach grabber, so of course I screamed. Yup, I am a screamer.;) Crystal is laugher. It was fun. that was a good starter ride. We weren't sure what to do next, I didn't bother with an itinerary, I mean it's not like it's Disney and I cared :confused3 We came across the Storm Runner. This ride is wet your pants scary (if you don't have good bladder control) We decided, this is the most wicked ride here, let's get it over with and never look back. Crystal has a ride it once and be done with it attitude. I adopted that attitude for the day, I mean after all, it's not like this was Disney. The line wasn't to long, it moved pretty fast, it could be that we talked so much it just felt like the line moved fast. Our daughters cheer together on the RL squad, so we had that in common, we both come from Military backgrounds, so that was a topic too. Next thing you know we are next in line, and my heart is racing. I didn't want to ride it anymore. I told her I was just going to step through onto the other side and wait for her at the bottom, she was not having it. "Nope, you are riding, there's no discussion on this."
This ride takes you from a dead stop to 72 miles per hour in under 2 seconds, it shoots you down a straightaway and then straight up into the sky, you fly over a hump and then straight down.
I got strapped into the ride. My heart beating so loud I couldn't hear anything going on around me, I had tiny pinhole tunnel vision and felt extremely light headed. Then it dawned on me. OMG Ty, you are a big chicken. The only part of the ride that I feared was the take off, that would be 2 seconds max, I can do that for 2 seconds. So I just layed my head back, and waited, the countdown comes, I heard 5,4, and that was it, the ride took off at light speed, it wasn't even a scream that came out of my mouth, it would have been nice to have an interpreter there to tell me what exactly I did say, I should tell you before take off I was saying my prayers, and it wasn't my whisper prayer either, I was full on southern Baptist preacher praying.
As we shot straight into the air, I thought for a split second we weren't going to make the crest at the top, we were going to keep going till we were orbiting space. We did however make it over the top, my butt flew up out of the seat and that's where it stayed till the ride was done. Yay, it's done, we don't have to do that again. (although I would have, the fear is the best part) Crystal was laughing to the point of not breathing. She said I was yelling the whole time "I'm outta my seat." aaaah:rolleyes: goodtimes!
Just a tidbit of info here, my DH helped build that ride, he did the concrete portion, not all by himself though, he did have some help.

Yup, I rode that! Have you gained a whole new respect for me? This ride recreates the fear I would have a s ateenager right before cheerleading tryouts, the butterflys are swarming in the belly and your mouth is so dry that when you smile your lips stick to your gums showing all your teeth and you look like a horse.

We just kind of meandered around, we rode the Great Bear, that ride is awesome, it's an inverted rollercoaster, so of course I had to kick the shoes off for that one, there is nothing like flying through the air barefoot, loves it!

After that I ran into Reeses friends mom who had Reeses camera, so we talked a bit. after that we decided it was lunch time.

DINING REPORT
I ordered the chicken tenders and fries, with a diet soda, Crystal ordered the same, except with a regular soda, she is allergic to aspertame I think it is, it's in alot of diet stuff. She was afraid they miht have mixed up our drinks, I tasted mine and since it had been a while since I had drank regular soda I couldn't tell if mine was diet, so then I had to taste hers, and it was super sweet, OOOOOOO I miss regular pepsi so bad, that made me want it, but I gotta keep to the Disney diet, which consists of not making a pig of myself and diet soda:sad1:
Back to my report. I got my food and headed over to the fixins bar. It was honey mustard for the chicken and...mayonaise for my fries. It tends to gross people out, but really try it. I looked at Crystal thinking she would be grossed out, but no, she laughed and said she eats her fries the same way. We had both picked that up while in Europe.
The fries were perfect, the chicken was a little too squishy, like it hadn't been cooked enough, it wasn't pink on the inside, it just had too much batter that didn't fully get fryed, and not all the pieces were like that. We took about an hour to eat, we laughed so much people kept looking at us. Some times Crystal got my sense of humor and sometimes she just looked at me like I was a nut.
The next ride we wanted to go on was the super dooper looper, but it was closed. So we thought we'd leave the park and go next door the Chocolate world tour. At this point my feet were holding up great, no rubbing, no beginning of blisters. All was well.
We walked right on to the chocolate factory ride. This ride bores me. Last time I was there was with Lola a few summers ago. Reese and I had gone it the spring time before, we got a kick telling the kids infront of us that it goes upside down. Crystal didn't believe me when I told her that it goes upside down, she didn't beleive it was a water ride either. The best thing about that ride is the smell, mmmmm chocolaty heaven:love: I knew the camera was coming up so I said we had to put on our sun glasses and pose for it the way all the teen girls do.

After the ride we went and looked at the picture, I took a picture of the picture, so the quality is no the best. Crystal thought it was a genius idea, I told her I learned about "redneck" picture takeing from the Dis. She asked what the Dis was and It opened up a whole new conversation. I had been holding back that I love disney, so I gave her the low down and I'm am sure she thinks I am a dork now. Oh well! I tried not to Disney overload, I hadn't mentioned it all day, I was suffering a little from with drawal, so I talked enough to get my Disney Joo Joo going again and then backed off a bit.
We grabbed a coffee and sat down and relaxed. She asked if I wanted to visit any shops, I told her just for a post card for a Dis friend, but I wasn't getting any souvenirs, I mean it's not like we were at Disney:confused3 so we walked back to the park. We had 4 hours to kill until it was time to leave.

I will have to finsish this up later, I need to get ready for Reeses game and I gotta burn a screen before I leave. So later gaters.

See what I ean about photobucket? I did to resize that picture, it even sais I did, so why is it showing up all big like that? and half gray? GRRR!

No idea what is going on with Photobucket. Hope it corrects itself so we can your pictures!

Can't believe you went on that ride! I am not normally afraid of roller coasters but I have yet to go on one like that, I always chicken out.:scared1:

We rode Storm Runner for the first time in July.

Lifelong Dreamer I wanted to chicken out, trust me. I m happy I rode it, although it was not my first time, I had ridden it the first year it came out and I swore that was the last time.

SpaceMountain Dainan! where ya been hiding? So what did you think of Storm Runner? I just heard that Hershey Park is getting ready to build a new coaster called Farenhiet and it's got everything Storm Runner has plus more. Don't be a stranger dude!
