Dec 2007 A mouse Odyssey/lotsa pics

ILMICKEY I always thought sports in Red Lion was political, it's about where you live and who you know, but I am now seeing it is like that every where. I think coaches forget that this is about all the kids, not just the preppy ones. I went through that when Jim played football, he only played maybe 4 minutes the whole season. Jim didn't care so I didn't care.
Reese eats breathes and sleeps cheerleading, she is in it for the sport not the popularity, she doesn't announce tothe world she is a cheerleader, last year nobody at her school knew she cheered until she wore her uniform on game day. This coach has a daughter on the 9th grade squad, I am hoping that next year when her daughter moves up to JV the coach will move up with her and Reese will have a break from her.
She can't kick Reese off the squad for no reason, and when she lays into Reese, Reese just apologizes and moves on, she has never let the coach know that it bothers her, and last night was the first time Reese cried over it, she waited till she got in the car, so for 2 hours she held back tears. I wonder if this lady even realizes that she is doing this. I talked to a few other moms about it this morning, a couple of them said they noticed Reese is the only one ever yelled at.
I tell Reese maybe she is jealous of you, maybe she wishes her daughter were like you, sounds harsh but there are parents out there who are like that.

I am afraid that if I do say something she won't make it for basketball cheerleading this year, and now I wonder about last year, she didn't make it on the basketball squad then, this is a girl who has cheered competitively for years, and has lots of 1st place trophies for competing individual Jr. prep, she won best cheerleader out of 100 girls, I was in shock for days when she didn't make it, so were the rest of the cheerleaders who had cheered with Reese during football. On a side note, it was maybe a blessing in disguise because Reese ended up with that knee injury from her competition squad and wouldn't have been able to cheer the season anyway.
Oh well, I have talked your eyes off enough about this. (get it? cause your reading I said eyes and not ears, hahaha, I kill myself)

SwansLoveDisney Thank you, I am so proude of her.

Disney food, yuuuummm. I don't know why I can't stop thinking about it?

TheLastPrincess Thank you, it is fun having a daughter. Sons are great too, but they never want to talk makeup or go shopping, and it is more fun shopping for girls.

Suzerella Mickey bars are on my list of things to do this time that I didn't do last time.

We are schedule to leave Dec. 4th, I have already gotten the approval from Reese's school to take her, they offer every year what is called an educational field trip, the student can miss 5 days of school and it will be excused, I had to list things of educational value. Well hello, that was easy, you got future world, world showcase, animal kingdom, just to name a few.

Our plan was to Pick Reese up from school at 10:30, get to Theresa's house where she would have picked up Coley already, throw our junk in the trunk and be on the road to Baltimore 11:00am, arrive at the airport around noonish, check in, go through security, then relax and find Theresa a bar. (she hates to fly) sounds great doesn't it? Well the school informed me that Reese has to be in school until 11:15am in order to get credit for the day, and since our trip is 6 days, one of those days will be unexcused. I tried to rework things, like get Reese a dentist appt that morning, then she'd have a doctors note for missing school that day, thus excusing her. (I love loop holes, I am always searching for one) Well her, dentist is hunting that week and refused to change his plans for us. Now I am all for hunting, but I think Disney is more important, but he was not hearing that. I could just keep her hom and say she is sick, but I know the school would see through that. So I talked to her teachers and they have agreed to let Reese turn in her school work for that day a day early, she would still get credit for the school work since it was turned in before her unexcused day. Am I making sense here? Basically even though she will have an unecused day of school, she will still get class and homework credit for all 6 days. (loop holes, lovem)

So now the plan is to let Reese stay home that morning, Leave the house by 10:15am, get to therea's about 10:35am , be out theresas door by 11:00am at and the airport by noonish, yada yada yada, get scaredy pants her relaxing drink, then around 2:20pm, we are flying high (literally for Theresa) on our way to Orlando.

We are scheduled to arrive at 4:45 in Orlando, no layovers! My plan is to be off the plane by 4:46pm.

I have heard/read stories that it is hard to find the ME place, so hopefully I will be able to figure it out, on my own, I am great with directions and navigating, same goes for Theresa, but get us together and we can't find our way through anything. We are the U-turn Mommas, we are forever having to back track. So this will be interesting. This is actually the main reason we are flying there, we are leaving the directions up to the pilot, and the ME bus driver. second reason we're flying, is I love to fly, and it gets me to disney faster!!!

I am counting on being at Pop Century by 6:30pm, is that pushing it? Should I allow more time?

Our first night there is room only. We have decided that we will just settle in that day and enjoy the resort, probably order a pizza, I was not happy with the cafe food they offered, but the pizza we ordered was great, so that's our dinner plans, then we might walk around and take pictures and maybe go swimming, who knows. It's early to bed for us and then up at the butt crack of dawn to make rope drop at Animal Kingdom

DAY 1 Dec 5th
Animal Kingdom
I have plans for this day, no winging it this time, I would tell you my plans now, but I am too lazy, so basically we will do our thing. Part of our thing is using a Cs credit at Flame Tree Barbque. We have ADR's at Planet Hollywood that evening. We aren't sure if we are going to go back to our resort to freshen up before dinner or just head straight over, I guess it all depends on how much we get done at AK.

Downtown Disney
Eat!!! then eat some more at Planet Hollywood. I have never been, so I am excited. After we eat we will probably do some shopping, I know for me, the Christmas store there, and the scrapbooking store are on my must shop at or die list. I also want to go to Candy Cauldron for the best candy apple in the whole world, I am sure everyone else in my group has plans too, so I will give them a few minutes to do their thing as well. I'm nice that way.

DAY 2 Dec 6th
Magic Kingdom, and Coley's birthday
Coley asked that she be able to plan this day, and I said of course, just in case she freezes up and doesn't know what to do, I will suggest the always go to the left method. Seeing as Coley is a Disney Newbie she could only benefit from my advice:cool2: cause I am cool like that. The CS credit for the day will be up to Coley, I will put into her head that Columbia Harbour might be a good one to try. We have ADR's for Liberty Tree Tavern, and then comes ...
MVMCP  party:
we will go back to our resort and get red up for the partay!! then head back to MK early and be first in line to get our Christmas on!

DAY 3 Dec 7th
MGM Studios
I would love to make rope drop but seeing as we will have been out late the night before I will be happy if we can make it there by 10:00am.
I have more of a plan for this park this time, I want to see some shows!!! We plan to use a CS credit at Toy Story Pizza Planet, then we have ADR's at the Sci-Fi dine in theater. I loved this place and I can't wait for Coley to see it, I know she'll love it too. I also want to stay late and see the place all lit up with Christma lights. I am excited for ToT and believe it or not, Theresa is really looking forward to this as well. I don't know if Reese will ride this or not, it's the only ride that scares the crap out of her. Fantasmic is not planned for this day, but if time allows maybe we will bump it up and see it, I am excited for this show.

DAY 4 Dec 8th
Epcot
I am abit unsure of this day, I don't know if I should treat Future World as one park and do that on this day, then come back another day for World showcase, or if I should lump them together, get done what we can and then come back and do what we didn't get to do earlier:confused3 If we treat it as 1 park, then we will do what we can in futre world until World show case opens, then head over there, use a CS credit in Germany at Sommerfest (my mouth is watering now) hit up all the countries and then make it to Coral Reef for our 4:20pm ADR's. should I try and get my ADR changed to a later time to allow more time at World show case? I guess we could always head back over to WS later in the evening. This day is a puzzle to me, it's the only day that I have not been able to come up with a detailed itinerary. I guess alot will be played by ear. (wow, I am feeling the stress of it now)

DAY 5 Dec 9th Happy Birthday to me
Magic Kingdom
I was going to have Epcot or MGM be my birthday park, but the more I thought about it I wanted MK, it's more festive in my opinion. We have an 8:05am ADR for Crystal Palace, we will be paying OOP for this, but it's my birthday present to me. I wanted to be able to walk down an empty main street and I wanted a character meal. and I love breakfast!!! I would love to try The Starlight Cafe as our CS meal but we we also have ADR's that evening at Tony's Town Square.(that's alot of eating for one day) I have heard mixed reviews about this place, I haven't been there myself, theresa being Italian makes the best Italian food I have ever tasted, I worry that she won't be impressed with this, she is not the type of person that compares her cooking to restaraunts, she is actually very modest and even blushes when we compliment her meals, so I am sure all will be well, she loves the Olive Garden, so this is just me stressing, cause that's what I do. The park closes early that night, for MVMCP, so we are not sure if we will go to another park, or back to the resort, I guess I could use that time to finish World showcase, or go see Fantasmic at MGM, :confused3 I won't know till that time comes. Maybe Theresa and I will go have a Maragarita in Mexico?:confused3 or jet to Germany for a beer:confused3 the world is my oyster. (what does that even mean?:confused3 )

DAY 6 Dec 10th
MGM is the park of choice, and I have it inked in to my itinerary, I hate to use white out cause I think it makes it look messy, so I need to keep those plans, originally this the day we planned to see Fantasmic. We might park hop though and just show up at MGM in time for our ADR's at 50's Primetime. This is a new one for me too, it looks like fun. Not sure of a CS meal this day as I am not sure which park we will actually be at during that time.

Day 7 Dec 11th
What? Vacation is over, we go home now?:guilty:
Well yea, we go home, but we don't have to leave until 5:00pm, so we will get in more park time. I think we should end the week with MK. It'll be a group decision.
We have 8:10am ADR's at Ohana's A guaranteed Mickey meet, although I plan to stalk him out my first day at MK.

I was thinking that Reese and I could stretch our CS credits and just split a CS meal twice a day , that would offer up more eating times during the day, I know last time none of us could finish our meals because the portions were so big.

Anyhooo, those are the plans for now. I don't think I will change them.

Yay for MVMCP! I am glad that you are going as I will get to read all about it before I go next year!

You should try and work the Candlelight Processional into your evening Epcot plans. I have heard it is wonderful. Also all the countries in World Showcase of Holiday Storytellers where they have that countries version of Santa come out and tell about holiday stories and traditions. I think this is very cool!

Your plans sound great and you are going to have a fab time!

Lifelong Dreamer I am thinking I will need 2 days for Epcot, there is just too much to do. Thanks for the info about the story tellers, that is a must see for me.

Suzerella Mickey bars are on my list of things to do this time that I didn't do last time.[/QUOTE]

You haven't done Mickey bars OR safari?? Good thing you are going back...

Just a warning -- the bars are as good as they look. Count yourself warned before you become an addict like me.

Reese looks beautiful indeed. The top is a bit bulky, but she still looks pretty!!

Amen for Disney food!

Just a word of warning, the Scrapbooking store at DTD is not all that. I kept hearing about that store, but was kinda disappointed with the stuff they had. :confused3

Mmmmm LTT and Woohooo for MVMCP :santa: . I so want to go for that.

I have heard some not so great reviews about Tony's too.

As for Epcot, I think it'll depend on how tired everyone is after Linner @ Coral Reef. Although you might be tired after full day at MK (that park for a full day always kicks my butt) to also do a full day at Epcot. I'd lean toward 1/2 day at Epcot and then rest time. You always have your MK day when it closes early to check out the rest of World Showcase and catch Illuminations if you missed it before.

Ooooh I can't wait to read all about it!

LurrrvtheDuck That top is bulky, it was a medium and the girl wears an extra small in shirts, I took it in 2 inches on each side and it's still too big. Oh well.

for me right now, it's all about the caesar salad, I keep going to allears.net and looking up menus and placing mental orders, I always seem to order (in my mind) the caesar salad.

I was very disapointed with their scrapbook store, I still spent an arm and a leg in there, but I really was expecting much more, but the kits are exclusive to Disney, I can't get them anywhere else. I didn't buy their Christmas kit last time, there wasn't a need, so I will get it this time, I still have alot of the stuff left over, I ended up using most of my own stuff, although I did like alot of their papers that came in the kit.

I think I am most ecited for MVMCP, I probably don't even come close to imagining just how great it will be.

88 days.

My DH came up with an idea for Durka Durka!!! He thinks you should put him in the window with a sign that says the following: Does anyone know where I can find my cousin Stitch?

I thought that was too funny!!!! :rotfl2:

He said it would be great if you dressed him as a tourist or something, while he holds up the sign, you know, like the aliens who are living with Lilo.

That is an awesome idea:lmao:

I have been reading up on Tonys Town Square, I have read more negative things then positive, so I talked things over with Theresa and I am going to cancel my ADR's for TTS, which kind of works out better anyway because now I won't have to pay OOP for Crystal Palace, I will have anough TS credits to cover it, and since I won't be held down by 4:45pm ressies at MK, I can leave earlier and go to Epcot and World Showcase and see illuminations while drinking a margarita from Mexico. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

That's the happy dance for Margaritas in Mèjico!!!

Olè!!

Lifelong Dreamer It worked out beautifully! I feel less stressed now too.

LurrrvtheDuck I might just do the happy dance while drinking my Margarita. I saw a picture of the maragaritas and it looked delicious. yumm!

I was telling my family about the idea to put Durka on the toilet with cereal in it.

Know what they said??

Only YOU would come up with an idea like that:confused3 !

Honestly I don't know if that was a compliment, a slam, I just don't know. I thought it was a very good idea.

I am having a problem with one of our ADR's too. I have us going to spoodles one night. After reading the menu over and over, I just don't think I am all that excited about it.

We will be at MGM that day and I was using it as some "down time". Do I just stick it out and hope for the best or change? I thought about Cape May's at the Beach Club, but changed my mind after this weekend.

Fred took us to the Olive Garden, Mozart ordered something seafoody. It had Mussels in it. I havent' ever had them before. Oh lord those are the most discusting things I have ever eaten in my life. YUCKY!! We still may do Cape Mays, I don't know.

ILMICKEY DUrka sitting on the pot was a genius idea, so I would take your familys comment as a big ole compliment.

I hope your ADR situation works out the best way possible. I hate that feeling of "What should I do?"

Muscles? YUCK!!!!!

I went to purchase my MVMCP tickets for the 6th of Dec. and they told me that advanced purchases for that day was sold out, the only had the 9th available, so I took it. This changes everything. First off I feel like a total schmuck cause MVMCP was supposed to be done on Coleys B-day, now it is being done on mine.
Originally I was going to leave MK early on my B-day and head to WS for a maragarita in Mexico, but that time is now booked with the MVMCP, and now we have open time on Coleys B-day, but I am sure the last thing she wants to do is WS on her B-day. I need to rework some things now.
