Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

Hi Rachel,
Welcome. I am very fam with N. Olmsted, I lived in Strongsville for a while, and of course always used to shop at the Great Northern Disney store, back when it was the awesome gallery store. Who are you flying on? We are going Southwest.
My sympathies to all the Michigan fans - it doesn't look good.
I'm glad to see another Buckeye! What's almost as great as an Ohio State win is a Michigan loss. LOL
Anyhow, Welcome!!!

Is everyone at the late seating? We signed up for early dinner seating again as we liked it last year. After dinner there is just enough time to wonder the shops on the way to the theater for the shows. The shows are all great, not to be missed!

We are on the late seating, I work until 7:30 PM and usually eat dinner after 8 anyway. It works out better for us all around. It's just my best friend and I, and like Marilyn, thought I would leave the earlier slot for families with children that may prefer it. At the time of our booking both were available.

Welcome, Rachel! Glad your husband decided to join! I'm sure he'll have a great time as well! Congrats on scoring a family suite this close to sailing - Woo Hoo!!
Michael

Welcome Rachel,

Welcome to our group. We look forward to meeting you and your family. Not to much longer to go now!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Vicki

Welcome Rachel!

We are really looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

Hi Robb,
Somewhere in between a vacation and lack of internet I missed your introduction to the board. Here is a very overdue welcome to you and your family!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.

I do have a question that was asked earlier. How is the weather in the Bahamas in December? How cold is the ocean water at that time? Hopefully, we will have a heat wave going on then.

Kimmie - we are using Continental ($192 RT) and then renting a 2 bedroom condo at Cocoa Beach for the day. We love the beach. We'll probably rent a car for the day and drop it off in Cape Canaveral in the morning.

Rachel

Welcome Rachel. Glad you could join us. Congratulations on getting a suite.

We are scheduled for late seating but waitlisted for early. I think either one will work out great.

It's a cold morning here. Only 53. We had left windows open last night and it is freezing in here this morning. Where did summer go???? I sure hope it is warm on our cruise. Rachel, I have no idea about the weather or the water temp. We have cruised in Sept and Oct and the weather and water were great.

Hi Kimmy!

Thanks for the welcome! We are excited to be able to join you all.

Rachel

Normal air temperatures for CC are mid to upper seventies during the day with lows down to the mid sixties in the evening.

Water temp runs around 78 degrees.

Hi fellow cruisers, trying to push us to the first page of the thread. Weather here the past few days has been a litttle on the cool side. Actually saw my breath when I left for work this morning. Can't wait, 11 weeks from today will be hanging out at WDW

Wow! pirate: 11 weeks.... That really puts things in to prospective! The weather here is PERFECT it was 75 and sunny yesterday. It will be about the same today, however the weekend will be bringing 60's in, which is still okay with me. Fall is my fav season, I just HATE what comes after it....

Hey, everyone! I'm signed up for parasailing at Castaway Cay and THIS year I'll be able to SEE that ship way down there. Just had Lasik surgery on Thursday and I can finally see without glasses or contacts. Now I can do things like the parasailing, snorkeling, etc and actually be able to see more than a blur. Yay!

Anyone else sign up to go parasailing? Last year was the first time my husband and I did it. He loved it, I was okay with it. Okay enough to try it again this year.

Congrats on the surgery! I hear that is well worth it.
I don't think I will be Parasailing, I'm really afraid of heights. I almost had a panic attack on the ski lift at Blizzard Beach, so I don't think it would be a good idea :scared1:
My best friend, Melissa, that is coming with me wants to do it. I will be a spectator of you all.

Karen Congratulations on the surgery. I have been thinking about getting it but we keep spending money on other things. Today we finally went out and bought a new mattress. Our old one was horrible. We tried so many today and finally decided on a Sealy that is made of latex. Sounds strange but it was so comfortable.

There is a frost warning for our area tonight. I guess it is about time to close the pool. I hope it warms up soon because I refuse to turn on the heat.

Thanks! I'm afraid of heights myself, but the parasailing wasn't bad. You ARE way up there but you're still connected with that rope so that is comforting somehow. And the guys who run the boat really seem to know what they are doing.

Hi, everyone! Marc and I just got in from a couple of days at D'land. Traipsed on down Friday afternoon, had a great day at the park yesterday (VERY low crowds!!), had dinners at Napa Rose at the Grand California and The Vineyard Room at DCA (it seems like ages since we've seen our friends there!) and then scooted home this morning. We're heading down in a couple more weeks (1st weekend in October) for more fun and then all sights will be set on the Wonder!! (We also started keeping our eyes open for Santa Mickey gifts!!!)

I'm definitely going to be signing up for parasailing. Loved it in Cabo and looking forward to it on CC. We've got a cabana massage set up at 10 a.m. so I'll try and get it for early to mid afternoon if they have slots available.

Well, time to unpack the suitcase, do some laundry, head to the gym to work off the extra calories from the weekend, and then get ready for another great week of work!

Michael

Karen, congratulations on your lasix. Glad to hear everything is going fine.

Michael, still jealous of you and Marc. Sounds like you had a blast. Are you going to take in any of Mickey's Halloween treat while your there in October?

Go BLUE

The mousefest group will be parasailing together at 9 am. When I signed up at the 90 day point, there weren't any parasailing times open, just the offer from the mousefest group for the 9 am slots.

We did the cabana massage last year and signed up again for it this year, too. I'd have to look but I think Douglas and I are at 11 am.
