Hey ya'll! I'm generally a lurker, trying to get more involved! We'll be on the cruise too with DS5 and DD8. This is our first time on any type of cruise. I booked a short one just to get our feet wet. We'll be at the parks for a few days before. I'm a little nervous. I see cruises and think Titanic!

Welcome! Glad you decided to join us. I've found it's nice to "meet" fellow Dissers :disrocks:before the cruise. We have had dinner together at one of the restaurants near the port the night before we sail in the past. :yay:The little ones are always happy to see their new friends in the cruise terminal before we board.

DH just called to let me know he called to segment our visit to THE WORLD in June. We will do Quick Serve for a portin and Table Service for the rest.
Love all our trips there, but so much better to have a cruise involved. I'm hooked on Disney Cruise Line!!!

I've been keeping an eye on the :surfweb: Homemade FE gifts thread. Wow! There are some super ideas out there, and very talented Dissers. DH and I made gifts for the last cruise, and believe I'll do the same for this group. Might add something extra since the ship will be in Holiday mode.

I guess it seems like 12/01/11 is so far off, but I'm thrilled to have this in my plans. Lots of other things going on before that. Camping with the trailer this month, DVC with DGD in June, DVC birthday trip in Sept., and ABD and cruises in Oct and Nov.

We are all so busy, but this will be so :dance3: much fun.

What do you all plan for Castaway day?

FE sounds good to me.

One thing I am not clear on is how it will work with concierge. That's where we are booked. Things might have to be chucked over the gate. :confused3 :lmao:

I posted a question regarding delivery to concierge, and answers I've been getting indicate that they found the gate was left open during their cruise. Don't know if this is ALWAYS happening, or was just a coincidence.

Hopefully that will be the case. Our extender is all set to go!

Our extender is all set to go!

Good for you! I'll have to search for ours and make some changes to reflect that this will be our 1st sailing on the Dream and the ship will be decked out for the :santa: holidays.

My husband and I are going on the Disney Dream. It's our first cruise. Trying to get more family members to join us. I can't wait to go!

Hi there! My family is going on this cruise, also, and we are super excited! This will be our first Disney cruise, too!

:cool1:

We have 2 cabins: DH, DS (2 years old), and me in one, and my parents in the other.

I've read a bit about the Fish Extenders and would like to participate, so please count me in! We'll be in cabin 6052. Please let me know exactly how this works, or where I can go to read exactly how it works if that's been addressed elsewhere.

Looking forward to a great (albeit brief) trip with you all!

Welcome to the boat! Here's a thread that hashed out all of the details of fish extenders. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

I picked up ours from eBay.

Basically, we leave little gifts for each other in the extra pouches that "extend" from the fish with the room number on it outside the door.

Here's the info that is needed and sssteele is keeping track of.

Hello All!

I just found this site yesterday in my reseach for our first ever cruise and Disney cruise. I am so excited to be going on 12/1! My husband thinks I am a nut!

I am curious after being in DL for Thanksgiving before...How "decked out" will the ship be for the holidays? (PS No pun intended there. :goodvibes )

~Erin~
197 Days and counting!

Glad you decided to join our little group. I'm sure we'll have more participants as we get closer to sailing, but we have had much smaller groups on the shorter cruises.

I added you to the list on page 2-post #21.

Been combing these boards to help plan our planned cruises. Finally figured out the FE and have a good idea of what to do (tahnks to all the cool ideas on the boards :thumbsup2). We would love to be a part of your FE list if possible. Here is our info:

Hope you're all finding a way to stay :cool1: cool where you are. Quite hot here, but a bit of a break following storms last evening.

We're headed to THE WORLD with our DGD in a few days. DH and I so treasure this time we get to spend with her making pixiedust: with the Mouse and his friends.

Every day gets us a step closer to the Dream!!

Wishing we were going on vaca with you! Hope you and your family have fun at the World! My DS can;t wait to visit the "castle" as he calls it. Our fist storms hit Wed night and have cooled the last 2 days. It was very very icky out there! Hope you have enjoyable weather on your trip!!

Unfortunately...we have had to cancel our trip. :sad2:

I'm sad we won't be meeting you all.
