Dec 11 Wonder-Anyone yet?

Anyone buying some pirate-wear for the pirate night?

None of the kids want to be pirates this year, and since the cruise is still a surprise I can't tell them why I think it's a good idea! Went in Party City the other day and they had some cute pirate things.

Big15foot: I can't believe it's that soon!

I don't think my DH will wear pirate gear pirate: but maybe he'll surprise me. Just an eyepatch or hat puleeeze........ :love2:

DH still has his pirate gear from our MNSSHP last Oct-wore it on our March cruise and I'm sure he'll have it with him this time.

(Man, I love Jack Sparrow!)

First Cruise with DD and DH. I have already registered DD and booked Palos. Are there any others suggestions? I also found where I can save $25.00 by booking directly with Dolphin Encounter. Has anyone else done this?

How old is your dd? I'm hoping to find someone around my son's age (3) for him to pal around with. It's our first too!

Two months from today, we will all be waking up to a Mickey phone call in the Bahamas! :cool1:

So, what do you plan to do in Nassau!?!?!? Our group will be going to Cable Beach after breakfast with some lunch packed from room service.

A little shopping, maybe Atlantis (via cab-not excursion)-but open to suggestions.

A drink or two at Senor Frogs perhaps?

I'm guessing everybody is so busy budgeting, saving money, Christmas shopping and excursion shopping to post!! :rotfl2:

In two months we will be back from our cruise.

In one month, we'll still be looking forward to it! Let's stick with that number!

Final plans all made? We will be at CS before, and POP after the cruise, and we scored the recent AAA code with dining. We've never used the dining plan before, but coming off the cruise, I didn't think hamburgers and chicken fingers would cut it! :rotfl:

Didn't someone else say they were planning MVMCP on 12/15? Can't wait to see the toy soldiers marching down Main Street again. I admit it, I cried!

Hello all I just found out about this thread... Thanks (Big15Foot). My DW and I will be onboard. This is our first Disney cruise. It's our 10th anniversary trip. We too are doing MVMCP but we are going before the cruise. We are staying at the WL the week before and using the cruise as the more relaxing part of our trip. I've cruised before but my DW hasn't and she is a little leary, but I keep trying to make her feel at ease. Hope to meet some of the great DIS'ers. :sunny:  :sunny:

Here's a couple of replies I have made to dolphin encounter questions. PM me if you have any other questions.

We were in Nassau last summer on a Disney cruise and we did the dolphin encounter and had a BLAST (it's worth every penny) Make sure and plan on staying all day. There are 2 boats that go back and if you take the later one you have time to eat a leisurely lunch and do some snorkeling. Bring your own gear if you have it or you can rent it on the island. Hope you meet the cutest dolphin, Stormy.

My daughter and I went on the Dolphin Encounter last July. It was WONDERFUL!!! Worth every penny. I took a video recorder and a camera, but was unable to use them. They REALLY discourage the use of your own cameras, and to ensure you put it away the first thing they do is have the dolphin (ours was named Stormy) go around the circle of people tail side out of the water and DRENCH everyone. I quickly put my cameras away. That being said I bought the video and pics they took. Really cute ones with dolphin hugs, etc. They are darling! If my scanner worked I would post a few. Warning: they are very expensive, like $130 for everything and they do NOT take your top of the world card (or whatever it's called card) Take your mastercard or cash. Some people took underwater cameras and may have gotten a few good shots, but when will you ever be there again? We still have ours pictures on our fridge and kitchen counter.

Thanks for the info. My DW and I have the Encounter booked. I started a thread that has some nice informative replies also. :sunny:

Welcome aboard!

Big15Foot-you are way too organized (read "I'm jealous that I'm not").

We're still making last minute changes to our ressies!

I can't believe how low the countdown is for us finally, and BigFoot15's list pushed me from nagging worry to panic. Then I calmed & felt thankful for the quick checklist as I'm nowhere near making even that yet. Hallowe'en, a couple family birthdays, Xmas decor up -- the time is going to fly by. But we'll get there anyway!

And yes, we're still rearranging our vacation plans too.

Hi There,

I'll be on the Wonder on the 11th, with my DH, DD's, (ages 14 and 18) and my mother. Hope you're all wearing something piratey for pirate night, I don't want to be the only crazy-looking one. pirate:

Don't worry about that!! You definitely won't be the only one.
