Me three! I called again this afternoon to check to see if anything was available that did't quite fit my waitlists. But nothing was open on the beginning or end of my waitlist.

Well.......Since there is an ADR Exchange/Cancellation Thread and there is a DVC Rent/Transfer Board......WHY then can't we have a DVC Swap Thread?

Swap thread is good idea, but how do we handle point inequities....

Ex. a studio at OKW takes less points than a studio at BCV.

Of course, if people would be willing to reimburse each other the $5 per point difference to cover the dues, I think it would work.

Waitlisted for all or nothing GV at OKW for 16th to 23rd October, currently booked for 2 bed at SSR. I don't think I'll be lucky

I think this is a good idea, however there is ALOT of trust involved and I think the transactions themselves would have to be handled via PM, Email or Phone. I wouldn't want to bog down the thread itself with back and forths between two persons wanting to trade. AND it must remain strictly a trading thread. We could not have rental offers on the board as there is already a board for that.

Anyone jump in and correct me if I am wrong but it would be as simple as calling MS and changing the name of the person occupying the room on the ressie. It would totally be up to the two DVC members to work out the point discrepancies. This would strictly be a trade board.

I have a confirmed ressie for a two bedroom lock-off at VWL for Dec. 8-12. Looking to trade for a two bedroom at BCV Dec. 8-12, dates flexible before and after.

Then you get posters and if someone is willing to trade you then start the private conversation via pm, email, etc. It would be entirely up to you work out the details of the points difference.

This board would be different from the DVC Rent/Trade board in that the "Trade" version on the DVC board is reffering to non-DVC or traditional timeshare credit traded for a DVC stay. Does anyone or any of the Moderators want to jump in with any comments on this? Isn't this how things get started anyway?

Good news - my friends decided to go to WDW about a week later so I canceled my waitlist for any WDW DVC studio Dec 2-9 and booked a studio Dec 13, 15-19 and waitlisted for night of Dec 14th. And the really cool thing is I get to be in WDW for my birthday Hope everyone's waitlists come through.

Good news - my friends decided to go to WDW about a week later so I canceled my waitlist for any WDW DVC studio Dec 2-9 and booked a studio Dec 13, 15-19 and waitlisted for night of Dec 14th. And the really cool thing is I get to be in WDW for my birthday Hope everyone's waitlists come through.

Is your waitlist for all resorts or a particular resort?

I called Member Services and was taken off the waitlist for 2BR at VWL or BWV for Nov 30-Dec 4. We were already booked at Pop from Nov 26-Dec 4 and when the AP rate of $59/night came out, I thought it would not be a good use of our points if we could get 2 rooms so cheaply. So, we'll save our points so we can go again in the Spring! Good luck to everyone here - hope all your waitlists come through!

My waitlist for Dec 2-9 studio was for any WDW studio. Since I have SSR for my other nights, that waitlist is just at SSR (for now). I will probably book hotel room as backup.

We have recently waitlisted (August)for VWL for Dec. 21-24 in a 2Bdr. We don't really anticipate it coming through as we are being very selective but that is OK. I am not even sure if the plant I work at will be shutting down that week or not. If they don't, I won't be able to go anyway. I will be sure to post if we do happen to get it!

Has anyone checked out the new thread under DVC Boards? It is supposed to aid in making plans on where to stay by showing which dates at each resort are not available. But according to the current posting I should be able to get a 2bdrm at BCV for 12/7-12/12, but we all know that this isn't true. I did not find this thread very helpful. Any thoughts.

The thread is still very new. I think that I was the first person to post on it about 2 weeks ago. I think that it will be useful but until people realize that it is there and start posting on it after talking to MS there will be some gaps.
