Yea, I was thinking about the waitlists yesterday. Luckily I have back up reservations but I am beginning to think that I may end up splitting my stay over 4 resorts.

Have you been able to secure any back up reservations for 12/1, 30, 31 and 1/1?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. We're already booked at SSR 11/29-12/6. They've never stayed anywhere but SSR, so we're trying to switch up for them.

Checking in. Still waitlisted for a Studio on 12/4. All of our other waitlists came thru. That is the last day my in-laws will be there so we may just go ahead and reserve a room at Pop for that nite for them instead - I hate for them to have to move since MIL will be using an ECV.

Over how long of a stay? Are you on the dining plan? If you are, make sure you use your credits for each day because your plan starts over each time you move...

We are waitlisted at our home resort VWL since before the 7th month window (april) we have Dec 16-18 2 bedroom Dedicated and are waitlisted for the 14th & 15th.

I am thinking to also waitlist for 2 studio's instead, does that make sense or should I just leave it alone.

We're still waiting too. I wish Member Services could give us some idea of where we fall on the waitlist, just so we know how realisitic our request it.

We own at BCV and currently have a 1BR at BCV for our family and a studio for my mom at SSR. We are trying to consolidate into a 2BR, preferably at BCV, but we also waitlisted for BWV, WLV and AKV. DH is not interested in SSR or OKW, because he prefers a hotel atmosphere. Also, since we won't have a car, the tales of the SSR busses scare us, but unfortunately by the time my mom decided to join us, it was all that was left.

I think if we are going to get it, it will be cancellations in October and November as people reassess vacations based on personal situations, financial and otherwise.

we are waitlisted for the BWV, studio for the 14 December, I already have the 15th, 16th and 17th, so we are just waiting on the one night, we have Saratoga booked if it doesn't come through. I have also waitlisted all four of the nights at The Beach Club, like everyone else on here I am constantly checking the member website. Its not the end of the world I love Saratoga, but we have 13 nights there at the end of the trip, so it would be nice if we could get the four nights somewhere else x

Cash? I think that we have seen more success at the end of the month than at the beginning. (Of course, it may be my imagination since I am waiting for the beginning of the month. )

On the studio side, if you add it, then I would probably add the waitlist instead of removing the 2 BR waitlist.

I have a partially simular situation. If it wasn't that I wanted to try BCV and BWV, my current 4 resort reservation could have been consolidated down to 1-2 resorts.

I imagine that room will disappear in the next few weeks. How far into the purchase process (before closing, only after actual closing, some waiting period after closing) do we have to be to use our developer points?

As soon as your closing is complete, meaning you get a call or paperwork stating everything is finalized, you can use those points.

Well if you are talking about it showing through the Disneyworld website for cash then unfortunately that does not mean that there are rooms availible through MS for points use. It is a totally diffrent system that they use. So even though it shows availibility there it does not in no way mean that MS has the inventory to book on points.

What is up with BWV? We have the least success...I would think that some people would have cancelled due to the airline increasing costs and the economy. But only one person has reported success.

Good question! I have had better waitlist success on the part of my trip that I want to stay at BCV than the 1/2 targeted at BWV.

We are holding a ressie at OKW for a 2 bdr over New Years week but we really would prefer a 1 bdr. We are waitlisted now for OKW. I haven't looked through all the posts but if someone is out there with a 1 bdr anywhere at WDW for the same days and would like to organize a switch-I'd love to hear from you! I assume if we called together we could make this happen.
