Dec 08 Waitlist thread

Clair L ... I'm currrently waitlisted for Dec 7 & 8 for a 2BR at SSR. I will let you know if it comes thru. I have had the 3 & 4 come thru one night each these last two weeks. So here's hoping they are coming thru in date order (seriously I know that's not how it works but since that seems to be my case I'm gonna go with it).

i didn't even want to mention it, as i didn't expect it to work out, but after booking OKW at 11 months, i waitlisted to switch to a value studio at AKV at 7 months. i am staying at wdw from 11/30-12/5 and broke the request into 2 nights/3 nights for waitlisting.

2 months later, i got the first 2 nights at AKV!

hopefully the other 3 nights with come through later, regardless, it will be a lot of fun to try out AKV (and much easier to roll back up to the room after eating at boma .) and i don't mind splitting my stay if it comes to that.

I looked at our list in the first post and it doesn't look like anyone has reported success on 12/7. Personnally, I was able to book at SSR 1 BR for that night a 7 months, but I think that I called pretty early that day.

Donald, thanks for all of your hard work keeping this list up! Just to let you know, I have cancelled our waitlist for the 28th of Dec-Jan 4th, and also our ressie for the same time at the VWL. Hopefully there will be some happy person today. We were wanting to take friends and hoping for a two bdrm (we had a 1bdrm). We just didn't feel like we would get it, so we booked a week in April and now are excited about that. Good luck everyone!!!

I think I know the answer to my question but what are my chances of getting any of my waitlisted at AKV for 12/7-10. I have CL studio and SV studio. Since this is my first time waitlisting I was just curious. Also should we have done day by day next time.

It's possible, and it certainly doesn't hurt to try. The earlier you get on the lsit, the better, of course.

I got on the list on Jan 31st and the 8th and 9th only came through last week so there is hope for you as well

Hey guys...We had a trip booked in mid-November but decided to change our dates after it was posted that Osborne would not start until after Thanksgiving...

So now we have a dedicated 2-bedroom at SSR for December 12-19...It is a bit too close to Christmas for us but at least we will get to enjoy ALL the holiday events....

We are on the waitlist for a 2-beroom at WL, BC, and BW and a 1-bedroom at the AK (savanna view only) for the same dates...We shall see what will happen.

I called day by day at the 7 month window and this is what our December/January trip looks like for a 2 bedroom at Saratoga Springs:

December 27: 2 bedroom
December 28: 2 bedroom
December 29: 1 bedroom, waitlisted for 2 bedroom
December 30: waitlisted
December 31: waitlisted
January 1: waitlisted
January 2: 2 bedroom
January 3: 2 bedroom
January 4: 2 bedroom

I actually think I am going to go ahead and cancel the night of the 27th. It was 95 points for that one night. I think we'll just arrive a day later in order to save close to 100 points! I also think I am going to book a regular hotel through CRO for the nights of December 28-January 1 just so we have something in place as a backup. I also waitlisted for the length of stay at OKW. That's a long shot, at best but I figured why not. Holding out hope for the waitlist!

I find myself checking the DVC website one or two times per day to see if our waitlist came through...I am going to drive myself crazy
