Wow, that is a nice chunk of change!
Yes!
I'll look into it, thanks! The Chase bonus was so easy. Just one direct deposit and we got the bonus. Then I was able to cancel the direct deposit to that account. I just signed up for an offer I got from TIAA for $200. I will have just one $2500 direct deposit to them this month, then after that I can cancel the direct deposit, keep just $100 in the account (no minimum required!) and call it a day.
Was this a direct offer to you?
The funny thing is a lot of the banks cant tell the difference between a real direct deposit and an electronic transfer. So with Chase I only had to transfer money from our Capital One 360 account, then transfer it back and it worked. Then to avoid the monthly fee, you must have at least $500 in dd so I scheduled recurring monthly transfers back & forth from Cap One 360.
If that doesn't work I can always change the dd for my paycheck.
M&T only requires any type of transaction so I split my dd so that our car ins fund goes to them then auto transfers back to CO360.
