It does?? I had no idea! I know it's usually before Christmas but before Thanksgiving is way too early!

Yeah, it is about as early as it can be. I bake for the adults for both holidays, and for Christmas on DH's side we pick names for the "kids"....I use quotes because at 10 and 12, ours are the youngest; the nine grandchildren go from 24 down to 10. I do buy Chanuka presents for my sister's three kids and this year got smart and shopped for them at Universal when we were there in August. DH and I played hookey today since I start work next week, so we went to National Harbor, had a nice lunch and talked about some ideas for our kids. Usually they get smaller Chanuka presents like books since it is eight nights. Christmas is harder but we think our 10 yr old is done with Santa, so that makes life easier. Plus, on top of all that, our older son's birthday is two weeks before Christmas!

Oh, and my gift from my mom is coming early - Nov 5th. Going to another Bon Jovi concert. Yay!! I went in July and it was so great (and he is soooo cute) that I have to go again!!

Jealous! I share JBJ's birthday....have never seen him in concert though.

Yup. Holiday time is more stressful than I would like it to be most years. Now that DS is older (turning 13) he is not into big parties so that's easier. Luckily DS10's birthday isn't until March to give the bank account a break! We go visit DH's family for Christmas week so I am not in charge of planning that meal, but we do host Thanksgiving for my side.

My nieces birthday is Dec 15th, I have always separated her Birthday gifts from her Christmas gifts. Right in the middle of all the Christmas wrapping you have to stop and find the Pink, Purple, Orange and Yellow Birthday paper and ribbons.

The meals cost a fortune even with all the adults contributing, they are SO GOOD worth all the expense and work.

I think Jon Bon Jovi is hot but there is something about Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow....wouldn't kick him out, lol.

JBJ does nothing for me. I think it's because I live in NJ and have heard too many stories about him being an ****** to waiters. I used to be one so that's not cool. Plus my sister in law is obsessed with him and her basement is all JBJ. She completely turned me off to him lol.

First month on a budget.... and I just paid $600 bucks on credit card debit. Yippee!! What an awesome feeling!

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't been able to make headway but I just got really good news that I received a promotion and a $9k raise so I'll be able to pay off a lot more of my debt as of October!!! I also get a quarterly bonus that I'm thinking about making into my Disney fund. I'm very excited! I can't tell anyone at work just yet but a lot of people have been rooting for me so i feel incredibly blessed.
