I apoligize for not posting this sooner, but now that I've arrived back to reality (read: home :) ), life has been really crazy. Work, school, and all the catching up that had to be done after a week of being gone. Anyhow, here are my final thoughts on my trip:

1) Going solo in general: Do it if you can. It is so nice to be your own boss and not have to stick to a strict schedule. You can go where you want when you want and don't have to worry about stepping on another's toes. For me, spending all day in Epcot bouncing back and forth between Off Kilter, Masquerade and ToD was perfect, but for others, that might have gotten redundant. Go alone if you have the opportunity - it is a very unique experience to be in WDW solo; one that I wouldn't miss for the world.

2) Crowds: Being spoiled by going in the off season (October, January), I was really surprised at how large the crowds were. On the day that I had my Off Kilter photo enlarged (mental blank - I can't remember which day during the trip that was), I was most surprised at the sizes of the crowds. In the 10 minutes it took for me to walk from the International Gateway to the front of the park, Test Track had already built up a 75 minute wait. Ouch! If your schedule can accomodate it, go during the off season.

3) Weather: Perfect! 80-85 degrees during the day, and 60 or so at night. I came home to NJ with a nice tan (sunburnt in some places), and it was definately worth it.

4) Overall touring tips: Try to break up your day. Do not try to go from early morning until late night without a break, even if it means sitting on a bench for 30 minutes or so just to people watch. Adults need down time just as much as kids do, so please allow enough time to do so. I've never been a commando-style tourist, so I allowed more than enough time to stop and smell the roses.

5) Not to be missed: You knew I couldn't get this final thought in without an Off Kilter plug! :) They are a riot on stage, and are just as nice off stage as they are on. They are very talented performers and are not to be missed. Warning though: they are very loud, so if you have sensitive ears, be forewarned! :) Also, what final thoughts trip report could be complete without a ToD plug? This is another not-to-be-missed event. For the number of times I've seen ToN and ToD, this parade never fails to bring a tear to my eye. The performers are excellent, and the music is even better. I could (and I did!) watch this parade every night and never get tired of it. I'm going through ToD withdrawl just typing this! :)

Are there any overall questions?

You had a nice trip and I second going alone is fun. Thanks for posting!

OMG, Towncrier, what did you do to my Off Kilter?!?! :)

Better late than never!

Now I know why you're an OK groupie after seeing towncrier's picture;)

Thanks again for all the great reports:D

Debi,
We were at WDW the same week. I recognized you from the OK pix. Do you wear a green ribbon? I would have loved to talk with you. I enjoyed your report. Thanks for posting.

Although I didn't have a lime green ribbon, I did have a white pin that said "DIS" on it. Did you see it?

No, I didn't notice it. I'm always on the lookout for the ribbon. I have a lime green lanyard tied to my tote bag. I was in an ECV. I remember the guitar player acknowledging someone. Now I know it was you. Do you why is the drummer is behind that enclosure?

Yep, that was me! I usually sit on Randy's (the guitar player) side, so that was me that he was nodding at! :)

Honestly, I don't know why the drummer is behind that enclosure. For sound maybe? I'm not completely sure. I'll find out the next time I see them! :)

yes it is kind of fun going solo. you don't have to worry about anyone else but yourself.

Are you the Beverly Lynn that used to have a picture of your little girl in a Cinderella costume on your post page???

If so, she has really grown up!!!

SO pretty!

Jill

I know I sure enjoyed meeting you, Debi, and hearing all about the fun you were having! Remember, you spotted me at Downtown Dis with my DIS shirt on... (good dis-er that I am)...

Sure wish I had bought 2 Eeyore drawer pulls at the Kitchen store (or whatever it's called...) I do like my silverware!

Enjoy the rest of the school year!
Sue
