I love BC, so my vote goes to BCV. Can't beat the proximity to 2 parks, 10 min walk to EPcot if that, and 20 min walk to DHS or boat. There is a covered short walkway from BVC to BC, so you are close to all the resort amenities.
And all the shops and entertainment on the Boardwalk. If you want pics go look on the BC/YC thread. Lots of pics and info.
SSR is very spread out, and further away from the parks.
BC and the villas are a short walk to Epcot, like ten minutes at the most, and a walk or boat ride to HS. SSR is a very long bus ride to all parks. You will spend a lot more time on a bus at the SSR resort.
The only reason I would vote for SSR would be if you have multiple small children. The pool at beach club is very large and spread out which could be stressful with kids running in opposite directions out of sight.
Leaving in 3 days for SSR and while it is a lovely resort.....IMO BCV or BWV is superior for being able to walk to Epcot or Studios.
Unless you spend a lot of time at DTD.
Happy planning

I vote BC hands down. I agree that multiple small children can make the pool situation a lot of work trying to watch the kids, SAB also has a very large sandy-bottomed shallow area for kids to play in.
Really depends on what sort of vacation experience you are hoping for.
If you like being in the middle of the action then BCV is the place for you. Location of the Epcot Resorts can't be beat & Stormalong Bay is great for active kids. IMO, this resort is always bustling (hectic?) which is why we don't stay here but it has a lot of great plusses too.
If you are looking for a place to come home to where you can chill out at the end of the day then I would suggest SSR.
