Debating on DAH and going to MK the next day

i am debating in whether to go to DAH on Thursday the 16th and still do a full day at Magic Kingdom on Friday. I don't have park hoppers. We are a group 4 adults. Tell me your thoughts pro or con..

You can enter MK at 4:00p on the 16th and stay until DAH ends at 11:00p. 7 hours in MK with 3 hours being virtually free of other guests with drinks, popcorn, and ice cream included in the price.

What do you have planned the other days of your stay; you don't need park hoppers to visit another park on Thursday and attend DAH that night.

We are thinking of something similar, if it's still offered this summer. However, we wouldn't get to MK at rope drop the next day. We probably wouldn't arrive until 10am at the earliest and not stay until close. You could see the fireworks during DAH, since you can enter early. We could spend 2 days at MK and still not do everything we wanted as many times as we wanted. Plus, I don't know if we would stay the full DAH time, which will probably be 1am in the summer, since we have an 11 year old. It kind of depends what you are doing on the other days of your trip. If you will have time to spend a full day at the other parks, do DAH, and a full day at MK, then spending that extra day at MK is a reasonable thing to do. If you have to skip another park to do the full day at MK, then I would just do the DAH at MK.

Not too sure you will want to get up early the day after DAH. Only you and your party can determine that. But, I will say that we went to the party on 1/27/17 and it was great. Basically walk on for everything, free ice cream, popcorn and drinks, how do you beat that. We started in tomorrowland and just kept going around, we hit almost everything. I say almost bcz DS got tired before end of party so only missed 2 rides that were open. I suggest going early. Eating before party starts. Enjoy the fireworks and hit the rides you won't be sorry.

I am going to the 2/16 DAH as well. MK has AM EMH's on 2/17 (currently 8-9AM at the moment). While I don't always follow it, I'm a believer in the avoid the park with EMHs theory. With EMH's and the start of a big/crowded holiday weekend, I'd vote against going back on Friday unless your group just really loves MK and doesn't want to do anything else.

As of right now. We are planned on going to Hollywood Studios on Tues. Weds. EPCOT. Thurs Animal Kingdom. Then DAH at MK. Fri. Mk. Not sure if it's a food plan or not. We just based it on recommended park days.

A lot of people do WDW spontaneously/commando all the time. decide if you want mk again after your done with after hours. You may leave feeling like you completed that park and don't need it again or you might leave it wanting more of it. It's the perfect time to switch ADRs as I find many available near midnight the night before so decide in the moment and make the best of the following day wherever you decide to end up.

We are doing the exact same, we are going to the after hours on 2/16 and MK all day on 2/17. We are not going to go early on Friday. We are doing the Tiana's Riverboat party on Friday afternoon so it was our plan to be in MK on 2/17. We are so excited! Have fun whatever you decide.
