Debating October vs. December

DH and I are almost positive we will be making a return trip before the years is over. Im thinking either October or December. Hopefully weather and crowds will be better...our trip in March was great. but kids still got impatient at times for the longer lines.

Does Disney normally throw out a few discounts for that time period..I have no clue, but want to get a head start on planning. Any pros/cons on which month would be best.

I think too it depends on which week you choose in Oct. vs December. If you have access to the Unofficial Guide, you can check estimated crowd levels and let that help you decide. I'd love to take my kids back in Oct. or early December. But for me its all about the $$$$! Good luck planning.

Oct Pros:
MNSSHP
Warmer so you can make use of the pool at later times
Food and Wine Festival

Oct Cons:
Normal price range for rooms
If you don't plan on using the pools, then warmer may not be a good thing
Crowd levels now versus early December may be higher.

Dec Pros:
Depending on when you go (early Dec vs. late Dec) you can have excellent crowds
Christmas Decorations are up
Possibility of seeing the Christmas Parade taped
MVMCP
Value Resort Rates

Dec Cons
Cooler Temps in the evenings can make packing harder as you need to pack for two temperatures.
Parks may be operating at shorter hours.
If you go in later Dec the crowd level will increase greatly as you get closer to Christmas Day.

I have never been to MNSSHP but I will say the Christmas decorations are awesome. We have been around Thanksgiving a few times and other than maybe Thanksgiving itself we haven't had much of a line problem.
