OK guys I need your help!!! I have asked questions on these cameras (with awesome replys...Thanx!!:) ) and read the reviews. But I honestly still have no clue!! SplashMtn99 said both have panoramic shots...love that. But I want a digital camera that's easy to use with ZOOM....oh and great pics!!!:teeth: Being a novice will I notice the difference in these two or not. I don't want to go get one and found out I made a mistake. Thought about purchasing one in the next week so I can play before our August trip. The pressure is on!:( ;)

What do you think?? Can you help this dc novice decided which one??? PLEASE?!?!?!?!;)

Thanks for any advice you can offer....Trust me it will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!:)

P.S.
What kind of memory card would I get...I'm assuming an olympus. But I was wondering how big to hold a WDW trip? Do you need a special one for the panoramic?
Thanks again!

OH thanx....I'm there. I forgot all about that site!!!!:)

Well, I would go for the 750, since it has 10 more than the 740. ;)

We just bought the C-730 a few months agoand are thrilled with it. The 740 lost some of the features of the 730 and the 750 is suppose to have am improved flash over all the C-series. I researched these cameras to death!! I wanted the 750 but I didn't want to wait any longer. If I were you, I would go with the C-750 hands down!!! I own 2 - 128 mb cards and get about 170 picutres on them each :) I joined an olympus c-730 group on yahoo. There's a ton of information on the C-730, C-740 & C-750. Here's the link :teeth:

Sorry I'm making your life so miserable! LOL. And I'm not going to help here either - LOL ;)

I was thinking.... being a novice....that one of the lower (older) models would probably do fine for you.

But then again..... newer models have newer improved technology resulting in better pictures (usually).

Remember.... it's not always the camera that gets good results...it's the person behind it too.

See.......... NO HELP AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry. Good luck in your decision. It took us 6 mths to decide which one!

Here are reviews of the 750 that compair it with the 740. http://dcresource.com/reviews/cameraDetail.php?cam=450
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/C750/C75A.HTM

for a few hundred more you get:

more mega pixels
hot shoe (we all know how I feel about SHOES! LOL)
sound recording in movies
metal vs plastic&metal

now you could also try to find a 730 and get the sound in movies but no hot shoe see http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/olympus/c730uz-review/index.html

You need to think about if the features are more important than the money. This is a your milage may vary thing:
-If you will never use an extra flash the hot shoe is useless (I would love it but then I am a more power kind of guy)
-750 can use a remote but it is an option (ie more cash).
-Sound in movies is a neat toy, My 700 has it, I don't use it much but it is fun, you need to have an movie editing program to make it any fun at all and the movies eat up tons of memory. But in real time use movies aren't what it is all about (I think a filter adapter and a polarizing filter is MUCH more likely to result in camera satisfaction)

Thanks for all the replys guys! I'm off to check the yahoo boards!!;)
