I have heard of long hair costing more, or a certain style costing more, but the same hair legnth & style should be equal just about everywhere.
There was a debate similar to this one yesterday! Anyway, where I get my hair cut (it's a distant relative and close personal friend who owns this business, but her rules are no different than anywhere else in my town) it costs $25 for a woman haircut, or $12 for a man or child's. As I stated in my post last night, I wash my hair before going (and my friend knows this) so I get no shampoo (no reduction of price either, but that's ok), I also leave with it wet (she sprays it to get it wet) because I go straight home and rewash it anyway. Again, no reduction of cost, but I DO NOT expect one either. Of course then, I'm tipping on $25 dollars compared to the $12 my husband tips on. I'm a better tipper in general than he is though anyway! LOL
I realize they did this to attract men from those hideous "Barber Shops" and I feel they have every right to make that call for their business. I just don't like hearing men complaining when it's the other way around.
Three years ago, they did away with ladies night at our fair because someone complained about being discriminated against. I thought that was a bit excessive.
