Is this a brewhaha?
Where to start....
Steve, as always, THANK YOU for the information. It is much appreciated.
Unfortunately, some forget that there are those who really want to be helpful and post some information without having it turn into another debate. Sorry you got bushwhacked, but you did respond well.
Back to Steve's original information... I completely agree with gcurling's comment, so why try to restate it?

Comments like these, however, are very disappointing, especially coming from a regular. Apparently some of us are not doing a good job of articulating our opinions (both pro and con), and are falling short in making the basis for our opinions clear. My apologies for my part in this shortcoming.... I enjoy your factual post very much, but on this board you are beating a dead horse. If Disney says "yes",the answer should have been "no",if they say "white", it should have been "black". The experts on this board know so much more about running a mega-billion $$$$ company then ME ever will.
One thing that is a plus about the Disney photographers is that not only do they take the "official" picture, but when we have asked, they have been happy to take photos with OUR cameras as well. This once included FOUR cameras. As long as they keep this attitude, and stay away from the hard sell, I'm ok with them.gcurling: well said! You know, I've never met another guest who wouldn't take a picture of our party in front of the (insert kodak photo spot of choice here) if asked politely.

Opportunity costs aside (i.e. what WDW could have done with the money otherwise) I think this sounds like a fairly neat idea. Not sure who gets to use it, but if it's free to get the photos on your room TV, we'll probably give it a shot.
