What time do we need to be off the ship if we are using DCL transport back to a Disney resort? Are we assigned to a particular bus or do they just fill a bus and it leaves? I'm trying to figure out how much time we'll have for breakfast. I plan on us walking out with our luggage instead of leaving it out the night before; so there's one less step when getting off the ship.

I haven't used DCL transportation in a while, but they like all passengers off the ship by 9:30 - 10:00 AM.

We were told by DCL that the bus leaves at 9am for the resorts and not to be late. There are multiple buses. We also never received a letter in our cabin the night before stating how to do all this. I literally just read this all on here and knew what to do.
We left stateroom at 8am with all our luggage and arrived at a bus at 8:30 and left shortly after that. Bus was almost full when we arrived.
They were directing people to all sorts of different resort buses. Our bus had BC, YC, BI and CS. It took a long time to get to resort as we were the last stop.
As for breakfast we went up to MM early, instead of sit down, this was on the wish.

You should be off the ship and at the bus no later than 9:00am. When I last did this (pre-Covid!), Disney wanted us to arrive at the bus by 8:30am for a 9:00am departure, but the bus was already full at 8:30am and took the last couple of seats. So, earlier is better.

We also never received a letter in our cabin the night before stating how to do all this.
You should have received a message in the app, though.

Cabanas opens about half past 6 in the morning on debarkation day for breakfast on Dream, Fantasy, Wonder and Magic.
Marceline Market on Disney Wish probably opens half past 6 in the morning on embarkation day.
You should have plenty of time for breakfast on the last morning on the cruise.

You will be directed to a specific bus based on your resort reservation. As others have said, the bus will pull out around 9am so you want to be out well before that. Are you early dinner or late dinner? You’ll be assigned a breakfast in the MDR based on your dinner, or you can do Cabanas. Just know that you and your luggage need to be out of the stateroom by 8am and there is limited space at the dining rooms for luggage. If your reason for carrying it off is to keep it with you, you’ll want to do an early breakfast that gets you back to your stateroom to grab luggage by 8am and head off the ship then.

For DCL transport to a resort, the busses leave at 9 am, and they suggest you be there by 8:30. I think there is one bus per resort or group of resorts, so no options after if you miss it.

For the airport, they fill busses as you get off and send them out.

Got off the Fantasy last Saturday morning and rode Disney transportation to Pop Century. No letter or information was given except what was listed on the app. Said to be off the ship no later than 8:15 and busses would leave at 9am which they promptly did. We had 2nd seating late breakfast so we opted to eat in Cabanas and it was 8am when they cleared the ship for all tags. We walked off the ship at that time and were at the busses within 20 mins and then sat on the bus for 30 mins. Once leaving customs (there was no separate lines for passport and birth certificates) there was sign pointing to the busses and there they looked at your key to the world card to make sure it had a code on it and directed to us the bus going to our resort. Pretty easy and efficient. We were back at Pop Century by 10:30 after making stops at Rivera, Saratoga and Caribbean Beach as we were the last drop off. After checking bags at luggage services we were at Disney Springs by 11 am.

Thank you all. I posted this question in the FB group for my cruise and was told we'd have to be off super early which seemed off.

We are in the early seating for dinner, but am considering just going to Marceline Market for breakfast.

I really wish the Disney Transpo buses didn't wait until 9a to leave (more like 9:20a). We like to get off the ship early so we sit on the bus for more than an hour. Back in the day Disney Transpo had vans who would take the early disembarkers but no longer. We just sit there and wait for all the people who can't possible go without breakfast (I know, that's unfair :(). DH counts the luggage on the carts - this year's record was 18 pieces of luggage (not including backpacks).

We’ll have to get on early so we can be towards the front. It makes a big difference for mine and my kids motion sickness.

We did the early seating breakfast and had plenty of time to get to our bus back to Wilderness lodge. Breakfast was over by around 7:50, we were on the bus by around 8:30 and departure was 9, as scheduled.
