We just got back yesterday (sunday 4-27) and i wanna go back right now! We had an amazing time, as usual.

The crowds weren't nearly as bad as last year's Easter week.....or else we planned even BETTER this year (thanks again this year to all of you!) We were able to do absolutely everything......and many things SEVERAL times, like our beloved R & R Coaster!!!! Aerosmith RULES! lol

The question is: How do you deal with withdrawal?!?!?! I wanna go back this MINUTE!! boo hoo hoo........

That is the only bad thing about a trip to WDW-coming home:( The best cure is to start planning your next trip:Pinkbounc At first, I was even too sad to watch the videos or look at our pictures--it just made me want to be there more!! Just keep visiting these boards and everyone here will help cheer you up:D

Yep... start planning the next one - even if it's a few years away!!!! That always works for me :p

Our withdrawals are so bad that I told DH last week to keep an eye out for a transfer to Orlando or Tampa and we're just in Atlanta! lol~

We LOVE our trips, are taking our 3rd trip next week. As soon as I get back I start planning our next trip. I swear I'd move there and work there in a second. We'll just go broke constantly going. Our AP's expire in July, but I want to do the Marriott deal in August, so trying to find the $1000 to renew so we can continue to go. We just LOVE it. It's so fun for our family. Everyone thinks we're crazy but I don't care. Planning each trip is like planning for the first all over again, all the excitement. What's 8 hours, heck 12 hours in a car? lol~

Heather, i kwym about the long drive....ours is about 19 hours, split over two days, of course! But sooo worth it!

I'm curious tho, what is the 'Marriott deal'? Is that their time-share deal?

We're planning our summer vacation road trip out-west right now, including Disneyland and California Adventure, so that will help lol Still, there's NOTHING like WDW! Its in a class by itself!

OMG- 19 hours? eeks..... I don't know if I could split it up I'd be so excited to get there. We'd get there all tired... lol~

The Marriott, I saw it on the resort board, I think it's Aug 10-Oct ??? $39 a room. I think it's the one at DTD. Check over on the Budget board or the resort board.

Heather

Thanks for the heads-up, Heather! :) I'll check it out.

Actually, we LOVE road trips as thats what we've done for years and years.....!!!! And hey, thats nothing for us actually; for the past several summers, we've put on betwee 6-8,000 miles on our out-west road trips! Just call us the Griswolds! lol

Anyway, driving to WDW is part of the fun, as it gives us a chance to 'de-compress' from life, un-wind and get pumped for parks. By the time we arrive, we've settled-into the vacation-mode, and are rarin' to go!

As everyone else has said, plan another trip. It's the only way that I've found to eliminate the withdrawal. We also drive - about 21 hours over 2 days - and driving has allowed us to spend far less than we would if we fly and rent a car - thereby allowing us to spend about 2 weeks at WDW 2 times a year. Flying is definitely faster and a little less hassle, but we'll take an extra 2 weeks each year at WDW anytime if we can.

I visit this board every day, I go visit Disney websites and I read guidebooks (both official and unofficial) to keep my withdrawl problems at bay.

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff

We start planning on the next trip. We don't necessarily make reservations or anything, we just talk about 'next time we'll do this..', or 'next time we'll stay at this resort...'. It helps. The DIS also helps. Then, just when I thought I'm over it,

I see somebody's countdown clock!
They're going soon!
I'm not!

WAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Sorry.

My name is Rey AKA 'MKFan-PR'.

And I'm a Disney-holic.

You may hate me, but I am done with Disney for awhile.

This was my 3rd trip in 3 years.

I just feel like I finally seen everything, it just took 3 years.

The first 2 times we went off season, this last time our son marched Tuesday, April 22 at the Magic Kingdom. Did anyone see the band from Wisconsin at the 8:40 parade, right before the 9:00 parade.

Anyhow, I felt that Magic Kingdom was so crowded that day.

I can say, the other 3 parks during the week, were very empty. We never had to wait to go on anything.

I can honestly say, I'm done with Disney, there was no withdrawal this time, we all felt we all saw what we needed to see.

It took me 20 years to get there, so maybe in another 20.

I'm sorry, I was caught up in the magic for the last 4 years, but I'm done.

Actually the Courtyard at Marriott has another deal - $20.03 per night Sun. thru Thurs. during the same time as the $39.00 deal. You have to call the hotel directly (during the day) There's a whole thread here somewhere. You are charged when you make the reservation and it can't be cancelled - it's a great deal!

I will tell you how we cured our withdrawl feelings once and for all later. But we would start planning our next trip, put ourselves on the countdown meter. We would wait for the next years guidebooks to come out, and start reading them like crazy. We were able to look at our videos and pics often since we have so many now to look at, once a year for the last 7 years. We spend the time to carefully put up our purchases around the house.
Now how we cured it. We used to live in upstate ny, and this past August moved down here to a place called Titusville, which is about an hour from Disney. Now we go every weekend, once we got off the beach on a Sat. afternoon, wife and I made it to Norway for lunch, God that was great!!!!! We are still waiting in anticipation for our usual 10 day summer stay with the vacation club. I often wondered if it would lose its luster, but no way!! Best cure for withdrawl that I have ever had.:smooth:
