Dealing w/ Disney Dining is always a challenge

Why is it that when you call Disney dining, they never seem to know what the heck is going on?

Early this morning, I called for PS for 10/3 for LTT (before the Halloween party). Gerald answered and said that PS are available, but he was not able to do it, so he transferred me to another number. I was promptly disconnected.

I called back and got another CM named Jeanette, who put me on hold for about 10 minutes. She came back and said that the 3rd was totally booked.

I called back and got another CM (didn't write her name down) and said that the 3rd was open, and I could choose any time I wanted, so I picked 6:30.

Why don't the supervisors at Disney dining train these CM's so that they all have the same information? Very frustrating.

I am so sorry you've had such bad luck! I'm anxious to read more posts to see whether I'm lucky or you're unlucky, but in what I'd estimate to be between fifty and a hundred PS's in the last fifteen years, I've never had a problem with Disney Dining. The worst thing that's ever happend is I had to take a time I didn't want.

Like Pat I have only had helpful and friendly CMs when I call Disney Dining. Sorry to hear of your experience. We've made over 30 trips to WDW with many PSs for each trip with exactly two mistakes...both times the CMs gave me a PS for dinner when I wanted breakfast.

Too bad you were unable to get the name of the CM who was able to help you. Always think it's nicer to mention the names involved in good experiences rather than negative ones.
 
I had a similar problem. I called this morning, the CM swore they were not booking this! I called this afternoon, talked to another CM, booked no problem!

Most of the time I've received very good service. Every once in a while I run into an uniformed CM.
 

I find it's hit or miss sometimes with CMs. If I"m not satisfied that the CM was knowledgeable, I just call back. Often times you get different information. I just credit it to the fact that some people are good at their jobs and others not. This happens everywhere, not just Disney.

As with everything in life I think it is the luck of the draw. I rang Disney dining yesterday for my ps for MNSSHP. I reached a lovely CM who helped me with my reservation and then chated to me for a few seconds.
