Did anyone who got the deal from Orbitz in June for August dates have any problems at check-in? I was able to get in on the deal, but I'm still nervous we will have problems when we check-in in September. Please post your experiences whether good or bad? Thanks.

While we don't check-in until next week, I called the Poly to confirm Orbitz added my room requests to my reservation. The CM was super nice, checked the reservation and added the additional requests I had. So, I don't expect any kind of problem at check-in.

Mollie:

Relax, Orbitz is a well recognized travel company who sells lots of Disney Rooms. You will have no problems at checkin.

I agree. We have booked through orbitz several times and never have any problems at check in. Have fun!

DiscussDisney, how did you make a room request through Orbitz? Did you get a Disney reservation number? I'm ten days out and would like to make a room request. TIA

we just came home a few days ago, we stay at the CR with the amazing rates from Orbitz! We had NO problems at check in. We got 9th floor, theme park view and everything was PERFECT!!!! We used DME and everything went very smooth there too.
It was a fabulous trip....you have NO worries!

Are these deals something that happen often or was this just a fluke thing? Wondering if they will have similiar deals in the future

We had a fantastic Orbitz deal for part of our recent stay; we booked club level, and I contacted IPO within a week or so of booking, they had our reservation in the system. I added my requests then.

A couple weeks before our stay, I called Orbitz and asked them to give me a confirmation number for the resort, rather than the short, lettered confirmation that Orbitz uses. They put me on hold for a few minutes while they called the resort, and came back with a 12-digit number exactly like the one I had for the half of our stay booked through DRC. It even began with the same 4 numbers, so I felt a little more secure.

I was not able to get the online system to recognize the number, but I wasn't too worried, as the same thing happened last year when I booked through a TA. I was assured by the resort that they had our reservation, so I felt confidant everything would be fine - and it was.

We moved from the BC to the GF, checked in as usual and had no issues whatsoever with the reservation. Got a nice room in a good location, no feeling at all that the resort didn't see us as "regular" patrons.

Congratulation to everyone who snagged that great rate, enjoy your trips!:goodvibes

Just so I can beat myself over the head for not booking these rates, what did you all pay for your rooms? I saw the rates and said "no way they could be for that price, so why book and then get it canceled for price mistake."

we paid $173 a night for Contemporary Theme Park view!!!! :cool1:
It really was a dream come true because at regular prices we could never pay for a theme park view!

We also booked Contemporary Theme Park View and can't wait to go!! We paid $327 including taxes for a two night weekend stay :cool1:

For those who have gotten their twelve digit number (if you are using ME and have gotten your packet it should be listed on there), here is a site to use that another Dis'er listed earlier. You can check on your reservation and even use on-line check in with it

FYI-Just booked 2 nights at POP for next week (9/7 and 9/8) thru Orbitz @ $57 per night then applied discount code DEALPRO10 for an additional 10% off. Total including all taxes-$118.

Round trip air on Southwest $139
Priceline rental car for 2 days @ $17 per day
Under $60 per night to stay onsite including all taxes.

Doing pretty good I think.

Just got home today having used the fantastic Orbitz rate for the Poly ($131 incl. tax per night GV). Perfect vacation. Check-in was a breeze. They had all my requests and ALL were given :cool1:. Poly was awesome of course.

You all got some great rates. Unfortunately I booked dates that I thought would keep me away from FD crowds only to have it extended after I booked it via bounceback in April.:headache: Now I've gotta deal with free dining crowds AND the higher price of the hotel. Plus this year we're not gonna be able to make the Christmas Day parade taping like we did last year. :sad1:

Congrats to all those that got great rates. With DD5 starting Kinder this year, we're now relegated to taking vacation with everyone else and will no longer be able to enjoy our beloved "value" season.:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

Bring on the high prices, heat and large crowds.pirate:

We are back, no problems at all with checking in or anything else.

$168 for a 1-bedroom pool view villa at the Board Walk Villas. This is the second year these rates have come out for this time of year, I suspect they are clearing their inventory. Keep an eye out for next year!

We just got back Tuesday night from a great stay at the Boardwalk Villas. We got the one bedroom deal with Orbitz. We had no problem at check in. I requested a high floor and we got the 5th floor overlooking the clown pool. We had an awesome time!

Well I just did our on-line check-in for this deal  We'll be at the Contemporary in 10 days!! And only a week till we will be in the World!! Soo excited! Glad everyone has had great luck so far..hopefully we will as well!

When did these prices become available on Orbitz? We are going next August for 2 weeks....I plan to book this weekend to get FD. I would really love to do a split stay and upgrade to a deluxe for the last few nights but It's not in the budget at regular prices.
