What a beautiful girl! My DD's senior homecoming dance is in a few weeks, so we are looking for the perfect dress. Seems like your DD found hers, its beautiful!
Thanks for the compliments everyone!!! I thought she was absolutely gorgeous!! She picked the dress out herself, of course, and it was actually a floor length dress with a train, but we had it altered to cascade so it wouldn't be quite so formal for homecoming.
She looks so pretty and so happy. Her smile is just perfect. My daughter is now a freshman in college and I loved every minute of her senior year and all its fun. Enjoy every precious moment, it goes so fast. Have fun!
I have a senior this year too. He's not the least bit interested in any of the dances, so I doubt I'll be posting any tux pictures. I'm going to have to twist his arm for the prom (his GF can thank me later).
Awwww.......thanks to everyone for the wonderful compliments!!! As they were all walking out the door last night, I just kept saying over and over......it's all about the memories, make tons of memories .
And yes, this year seems to be flying by, we got a notice in the mail yesterday that we have to go to the school to order her cap and gown this week AND she's already been to MU for Open House!!! Gonna have to get out the cryin' towel sooner than I thought!!!
That makes me so proud that she comes across as confident, she hasn't always been because she's been so self conscious of her scar from two open heart surgeries. She's definitely grown into her own just over the past year or so!
Beautiful girl and a beautiful dress.
Did she have a good time???
I had open heart surgery as a kid (in 1969. I was 7. I just gave away my age! ). Left me with a fairly large scar that runs under my right breast and out to near my armpit. If I wear a bathing suit or a tank top, it's visible. I also have one on my side and in my right groin.
My DH tells me he loves my scars because without them he wouldn't have me. How's that for a romantic?????
Very pretty! I just keep thinking back to my days of homecoming dances. We wore suits and huge mum corsages. My times have changed...for the better IMHO!
She looked beautiful! Love the dress . .it is so different! I remember how fast senior year went by for my DD . . .she even couldn't believe how quickly it went . . .I hope your DD had a great time at Homecoming!
