DD's crazy school schedule

How insane is this:

DD missed school from
10/27-11/6 for Disney vacation
11/7 half day
11/10 full day
11/11 no school
11/12 full day
11/13 no school
11/14 half day od school

What a crazy schedule. What was the school thinking???

Sounds like the schedule my kids have during conference week. They go 4 hours late on Mon & Tues and dismiss 3.5 hours early on Wed - no school Thurs or Fri. (However, high school student do have school all day on the Monday - my friends daughter missed the 1st 4 hours because they didn't realize her schedule was different from her elem & middle school siblings.) It is crazy - my kids could finish school 2 weeks sooner if they didn't have these crazy days off.
