I have booked my trip with VH, can I add the dining plan on at the resort when I get there or do I have to book with Virgin?

It has to be booked with park tickets purchased as well, not sure whether Virgin do the DDP. Sometimes its come up when I've been looking on the web pages other times it hasn't:confused3 I'm almost sure you cannot book it on arrival.

sory folks but virgin droped the ddp last year,They only offered the free verson as that was a promotion disney was offering. From what i heard virgin wasent making any money on top to offer it so they droped it.If you are adding it it has to be 5 days prior to arival ,you must buy at least 1 day base ticket for all in booking (thats the us version)

Thanks guys, Virgin were offering it but it was expensive and they were charging for a 2 year also. I think if I book it with Disney we don't have to pay for the child!

you will not be able to book direct with disney as it can only be added by a ta.Unless you booked with disney direct or your in dvc you just phone menber services and no kneed for the park tickets with dvc

Thanks for the info! I will stick with my DDE card then! I am not going to pay VH for a child at 2 when he can eat for free at Disney anyway LOL!

We've been down a lot of routes for this one! Virgin will only let you add it to an existing booking if you are staying on Disney property for the entire length of your hols, and not with a wedding package. Seems very petty to us, and another reason this will be our last trip with Virgin.
We went direct to Disney who say they 'legally' cannot add it to a booking made thru' an operator (like Virgin).
So, our decision was made for us, but we do have a car for the 9 nights we'll be in AKL so Disney will lose out on our money as we'll be going off site like previous times.

That is such a shame. We have a split say booked with VH 3 nights then the cruise and then back to WDW for 7 nights, they said we could have the DP as would be there more than 7 nights! Seems they give everyone a different story. I got the DDE card last visit with my AP so will use that again this time!

our first email said as we were doing RPH first, then Disney 2nd, we couldn't have DDP unless we switch hotels around, but as we are having a vow renewal it would kind of upset a lot of things. Then we had an email saying they couldn't offer DDP 'on this package' so I think it depends how the wind blows!!!!

I know what you mean!! The wedding Pavilion is lovely for a vow renewal - we got married here in Dec 2000 and I hope to go back one day for a vow renewal! :)

Lucky you!
The DDP was an after thought so I'm not broken hearted without it - as long as I get the VR I'll be soooo happy! Any hints/tips for the WP? What time of day did you get married?

The wedding pavilion is lovely! We got married at 4pm - that gave us the morning to relax before we got ready! The ceramony did not last very long then we went to the GF for a champagne reception. We also organised private dining at the GF that evening for the meal - just where they have built the new pool.

How many guests are you having? Have you decided what you will do for a meal afterwards?

I would suggest going to the pavilion for a good look round before the big day! The brides vestible is lovely too - a good place to get some pics!

We are hoping for 2:30 so we still have daylight time for lots and lots of photo's after the ceremony, around GF and also the beach. I'm hoping to book a Wishes cruise for after the cake cutting and photo's (Wishes is at 6pm that day) then having a character meal at 1900 Park Fare for yet more photo opportunities with Cindy, prince and fgm!
We had a look around the WP during our last visit (4 years ago) and fell in love with it - I even cried a little when I walked inside! We took some photo's of us outside and have used them on our Save The Date's (printed on small stickers). We have invited our close family, and my dad and step-mum are 99% coming, my MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL and 2 year old nephew are 75% coming so far. Did you have any characters, or Cindy's coach? We are planning on M & M and the coach - sheer indulgence!
