Wow, this threads are awesome.....thank you for all of the tips. I have a few questions:

#1: When reading the menu and it lists the appetizers, and they all sound scary (like the Brown Derby, yikes!!!), could you select a salad as an option as your appetizer choice?

#2: When chosing an entree, if it gives you an option of adding SHRIMP for $4.00 do you have to pay OOP for this add on?

1) Using your HBD example... Since there are two salads on the app menu with fairly expensive ingredients, I'm sure the restaurant would be more than happy to substitute a much cheaper simple "garden salad" version.

2) Officially, yes, you have to pay OOP for these add ons. Unofficially, it's up to your server, and there are numerous reports of servers even suggesting this as a freebie (because it increases the total check and therefore their tip). You'll just need to ask and then decide accordingly.

THANKS MHopkins!!Some of the appetizers sound really hard to "swallow" I am not a "mussels" fan or someone who would eat "lump" anything.....I was trying to decide if I want to keep my Boma ressie or switch to somewhere in MGM

Definitely choose restaurants that serve food you enjoy. If Boma works for you better than Brown Derby, then go with your instincts.
