Need to finalize our plans for May '07. Staying at CBR. I was all set to book the DDP for me, DH & 5 yro DD, but, now with all the negative info regarding the childrens menu, or lack thereof, I'm not sure what to do. Should we just pay out of pocket. It will cost us about $700 for the 3 of us for 7 nights on DDP. Also, can we and should we just get the DDP for me & DH?
:confused3
Thanks so much.

We LOVE the dining plan, its nice to just sit down and order without worrying about how much it will cost, I would take a look at the restaurants on allearsnet.com and see how much it would cost out of pocket compared to the DDP

Good luck

DH and I just got back and used th DDP. We LOVED it! It was so great not having to worry about the price of anything (Le Cellier was over $100, most CS was around $30).

It can be a lot of food, but at CS we would get our desserts to go. We used snack credits mainly for water. We did buy a box of donuts for breakfasts (one snack credit) and ate at the Fountainview Cafe twice with snack credits.

We ate at Pizza Planet and each got a combo meal (pizza, salad, drink, and dessert). It was over $30. We could have split that, but didn't think about it until after.

I hope Disney never gets rid of it.

Oh, and we were never treated bad because we were on the plan. In fact, at Le Cellier we tipped extra because of the great service.

If you plan on 1 TS a day, I would buy the DDP. BTW, you can't buy it for you and not the kids, if thats what you were asking. It's all or nothing :sunny:

Although I haven't been yet, I cant see how you can go wrong with the DDP if you plan on eating in the park!! Even with the restrictions on the Childrens menu it seems that there would be something your child will eat (well mine at least) and that there are ways to get variety. Bottomline wise, I know we can't do any better unless we were to bring in groceries and cook and we aren't staying anywhere with a kitchenette so that is not an option.

I feel that the Dining plan is worth it, especially if your planing on doing a table service a day. The one thing you have remember is that everyone's taste is different. Some people might not like the new childrens menu, some might. We like all restaurants that we tried this past August and some were not and still are not getting good reviews. Some of which we are doing again next August when we go. So it might be worth a try.
