We are going in November and we usually have one to two TS meals a day- and usually no snacks and a very lite if any breakfast. We are purchasing the DDP this trip and are wondering something
We have reservations at Mickey BBQ (this is my son's all time favorite and must for him) which is two credits and CRT which is two credits for TS- we are only going for 6 days so this only leaves us with two more TS for four days- We have the DDE as we are annual pass holders and are trying to figure out which meals we may want just pay for and use that instead of DDP- maybe CRT? - or does the DDPD give you more TS credits a day and how much is it a day as maybe we should upgrade? If that does not work what are decent CS where you can find a nice place to sit in each of the parks as this is important to us when we go commando in the parks-
Normally we love Biergarten, Sci-Fi, Le Cellier, Tusker House, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Tempan Edo, Hoop Dee Doo

Thanks :worship:  :worship:  :worship:

I think you might want to look at upgrading to the Deluxe plan so that you can do your TS meals that you want (it gives you three TS/CS credits a day...credits can be used for either type of meal). Use your snack credits for take home treats if you don't get any snacks during your trip.

As is the normal situation with any dining plan, the answer is "It depends." Are there just the 3 of you? Is you son under 10? Will you be arriving early enought on the first day to have Dinner or maybe Lunch also? How late will you be staying the last day, can you use the Credits? IF so, then it might be a good deal.

If you like to do 2 TS a day, consider the figures. The Deluxe plan costs $72/day. Since you stated you don't usually use the snacks, I'm going to ignore them (you can get candy to take home, but it's not a "feature" for you) and also ignore the Resort Cups. Thus, you must average $24/meal credit. Most buffets will be close to this. TS lunches will often cost $5-8 for Appetizers, $12 to $20 for entrees, and $5-$8 for dessert, add in $2.00 for the drink and 6.5% tax and you have $26 to $40 for lunch. Almost all TS dinners will greatly exceed this. I find that we usually spend $45 -$55 per person for dinner.

Granted Prime Time Cafe can serve you dinner for a little over $23 by choosing the cheapest items, but this is an exception not the rule.

If we take the averages, then its $33/day for lunch and $50/day for dinner = $88/day for two TS meals. If you use your DDE card, your cost will be $88 /day -20% discount +20% tax.

On the deluxe plan, it would be $72 + $18 tax = $90. So for $2/day you have the 18 extra TS credits and the 36 snacks and the refill cup.

If your son is over 10 and a light eater, I'd use the DDE card. The DDDP would be wasted on him.

Whatever you choose, ENJOY!
